Considering that we have a lot of work to do on the rail system...which was messed up from the 1970's to the 1990's and then basically abandoned till GEJ started some serious work on it, and Buhari kept it up, I'm not surprised it is taking so long. We are doing what should have been done three decades ago today.

Better support rail ways, or keep on supporting them dangerous Dangote trucks. (Having been hit by one in my car at night on a highway....na God wey say it is not my time, I don't like them).

Don't get me wrong, we need working rail system but I can assure you that the said railway network by PMB administration is not working to full capacity for even ordinary Lagos - Ibadan so it will not stop anything in respect to dangote truck

Expect more of dangote truck after commissioning of the refinery

If we have modular refinery in at least 6 different states, I see no reason filling station in edo will source for fuel from Lagos when delta is very close to them.

madridguy:
Nigeria is a Muslim country so such ticket won't fly.

Nigeria is a secular state

We have Christians, Muslim, atheist, traditionalist, Buddhist, etc

nairalanda1:
We need railways. For refineries to work, you have to make them profitable, and it starts by removing subsidy

There's something we call scale of preference in economics

How much have we realized from the railway service?

How many times have you board train this year?

How many times have you bought petrol this week?

You get my point now?

Menclothing:
How many administration have we had since the refinery stop working ?

Buhari built one of this refinery during military regime

I don’t like his government but don’t single him out
Obasanjo
Jonathan

What did Dey build

I'm sure you can see that I never praised those administration, I only point out to the fact that if government to build refinery, they can

nairalanda1:
Then get your government to remove subsidy so that NNPCL has the cash to compete with Dangote in refining, and more investors can come in to build more refineries.

The amount of money wasted on almost non functional railway system is enough to setup a modular refinery. Government can build functional refinery if they want to. Do you know how much loan this administration took within the last 8yrs? Do you realized they just applied for another $800m despite the fact that they have only 2 weeks for this present administration to come to an end?

Good afternoon sir

The government needs to modify this NYSC thing into a 1-year skill acquisition program and empower the graduates after the training. There are lots of skills that a graduate can acquire within 1 year, and at the end of it, they will be gainfully employed. The government needs to invest heavily in science and technology as well. Prospective students also need to choose a course wisely. Don't just choose a course because you want to go to a higher institution; choose a course because you want to make use of it after your graduation from the institution.

Modern slavery

Slave chief - dangote
Senior slave masters - Indians and Lebanese
Direct slaves - black staffs
Indirect slaves - the entire Nigerians
Slaves coordinators- Nigerian government

This is the organizational structure

Anyway anything to make naira stronger is welcomed at this point

That's just it

As long as naira is stronger, Nigerians will have some relief
