Dear Visa Officer:

First all thank you for taking the time to answer all our questions. I am an indian citizen with a US green card since Aug 2014.
I got married recently to an indian citizen in india. I am going to file I130 for her in the next couple of weeks.
I am planning to apply B2 visitor visa for my wife to visit me temporarily during the upcoming thanksgiving and Christmas for a short period of time (2 or 3 months) after filing the I130 petition and then return promptly.

It would be of great help if you can provide with your response on the following questions.

1) My attorney says that it is not advisable to travel to US on any kind visa during the process of I130 petition. What is the reason for that?
2) Is there any law or rule that says it is not allowed to travel on a Non-Immigrant visa with a pending I130?
3) Will my application for a non immigrant visa in any way effect my I130 petition?
