I used to be scared of organic modeling, that I never want to model a car but I was inspired when I watch bros shimish rough cut, I mean that short movie, I love the SUV that drove across the road. so I did mine too, not the final render yet, but a test preview. what do ya think.

Preboy: click on file > user preferences > add on > look for sapling or type it in the search box, then just enable it by checking on the checkbox in front.. then to use it, it is. usually under curve, shift + A > Curve > Add tree then play with the parameters. Note: make sure your tree is low poly or else it will slow down your scene. Tips: I recommended rectangular leaves. |

Tos87: nice work yinksy . u didn't ask for correction hope you won't find mine offensive...1) the river should reflect the sky color 2) the cabin roof seems to possess life in it because of the Green grasses which I think is not cool (dead leaves would be great ) 3)the cabin needs more textures cause i suppose is an old cabin which you have tried achieving. wow! thanks boss! I will do that right away, don't mind me though, just lazy me, I have to get rid of that attitude, BTW corrections are always welcomed...its all about improvement...thanks once again. |

Preboy: @tos87 guy I love open source programs/softwares and I've been been using blender for almost 2 months now, so my loyalty can't be questioned. you of all people should know that I've been on this thread longer than I've owned my PC. cycles does support it too, you will use emission shader. |

I tried luxrender a while ago, seems pretty complex to me, but for cycles it made my. life easier for its material node support using the node editor . |
Art, Graphics & Video / Re: 3D ENTHUSIAST ZONE: Blender 3d For The Novice Of The Highest Order! by Yinksey(m): 6:21am On Sep 26, 2014 |
Preboy: they are many, such Arnold render, octane render, luxrender, vray etc but if I may ask, why do you still needed external renders when you have cycles, cycles. is like a threat to those renderer.... lol |
