this is great, nice use of cycles, but the second image has some scaling issues or maybe its the camera angle, or I don't know if its just eyes.

Preboy:

Mehn this is disappointing, the darkscrab tut is way too short and I was looking forward to using urs.

Anyway if you find any tut, don't hesitate to holla me
it is all about knowing how model with planes and reference images, actually setting reference images for car modeling is different and technical, search YouTube for tutorial on how to set car reference images.

it really worth a try, I also used the scared of organic modeling.

I used to be scared of organic modeling, that I never want to model a car but I was inspired when I watch bros shimish rough cut, I mean that short movie, I love the SUV that drove across the road. so I did mine too, not the final render yet, but a test preview. what do ya think.

I just dey feel that cabin, you go yarn me how you take do the wood part later, bt now I need to get that tree add-on.... could you plz post the link to it

BTW, that emission thing worked, seems say cycles no wan carry last

click on file > user preferences > add on > look for sapling or type it in the search box, then just enable it by checking on the checkbox in front..

then to use it, it is. usually under curve, shift + A > Curve > Add tree then play with the parameters.

Note: make sure your tree is low poly or else it will slow down your scene.

Tips: I recommended rectangular leaves.

some ferns can grow on dead wood.....Yinskey, i think i like the idea of grass growing on the cabin's roof......the canoe could do with some grim..

yeah thanks, I made the grass slightly yellow, that means it lack some nutrients, I will post the updated image here.
Art, Graphics & Video / Re: 3D ENTHUSIAST ZONE: Blender 3d For The Novice Of The Highest Order! by Yinksey(m): 11:42am On Sep 30, 2014
Tos87: nice work yinksy . u didn't ask for correction hope you won't find mine offensive...1) the river should reflect the sky color 2) the cabin roof seems to possess life in it because of the Green grasses which I think is not cool (dead leaves would be great ) 3)the cabin needs more textures cause i suppose is an old cabin which you have tried achieving.
you can as well add a tree beside or close to the cabin.
I love the passion. well done mate.

wow! thanks boss! I will do that right away, don't mind me though, just lazy me, I have to get rid of that attitude, BTW corrections are always welcomed...its all about improvement...thanks once again.

I changed my mind, decided to do it, since its nothing much, here is the image, I also added some mists, in the first image and in the second image the mist is almost not noticeable.

Preboy: @tos87 guy I love open source programs/softwares and I've been been using blender for almost 2 months now, so my loyalty can't be questioned. you of all people should know that I've been on this thread longer than I've owned my PC.

to prove my loyalty, my favorite blender feature is;
€MIT + INDIRECT LIGHTNING ~too bad cycles doesn't support it

cycles does support it too, you will use emission shader.

I tried luxrender a while ago, seems pretty complex to me, but for cycles it made my. life easier for its material node support using the node editor .

lol @"realism can be boring". I thought making your imagination a reality(as real as possible) is what art is suppose to be #myOpinonTho.
I also think nobody or "certain beings" as you said is/are trying to denigrate blender. blender is an awesome software, that's why people like Andrew price, gleo etc are still stuck with blender even tho there are better software(3ds max, Maya, cinema 4D etc) out there.

moving on to more serious issues, is there any compatible yafaray(32bits) for blender 2.71 or 2.66+? or is there any other good external renderer you'd recommend

they are many, such Arnold render, octane render, luxrender, vray etc but if I may ask, why do you still needed external renders when you have cycles, cycles. is like a threat to those renderer.... lol

How do u cope with environ modelling and with xter?

Kazuna finding it trifling at best. Hope you will turn out a generalist....its d best way to be a CG impressionae.
keep up the good work Yinskey....

I am still trying hard with my Monsters development, hope before this year runs out, I'd post some pics of them.

lol.

will keep trying until am comfortable with it...organic modeling does gives me problem at. times.
