I have taken my time to list out the few online businesses you can start with as low as 5k, with huge returns of about 300k Naira monthly. If you have a mobile phone/Laptop and internet connection, then this is your time to make money. This amount will serve as your monthly data and other logistics.

If you don't start any of these businesses immediately after this post, then you know that your case is extremely different. There are no tricks in what I have written down here, all it takes is just determination and action.

One of the easiest online business opportunities is affiliate marketing. This is when you promote other people's products or services and when you make a sale, you get paid a commission. You find a product that you believe is good and will sell well and you begin to promote it for a commission. Promoting just means that you're raising awareness about a product by driving traffic to it.

You can promote products without cost to you and many people find this type of an online business one of the easiest to break into. You can promote products by writing articles about it and submitting them to article directories, or you can blog about it, promote it on your own website or on any of the common social sites such as Twitter or Facebook.

Steps to take:

- Register on Clickbank or any other affiliate site
- Check out any product you love
- Collect your affiliate ID
- Promote the product
- Start making money.

Many successful online business ideas are structured around membership websites. A membership website is you get paid to give your knowledge and expertise to others. Drop Shipped Product Website.

Dropshipping means that a warehousing company makes its goods available to you for sale. This includes shipping the order directly to your customer, often without the customer knowing that it came from the drop shipper's warehouse. It can be a very good way to start an online business as you don't have to worry about fulfilment or inventory issues.

When setting up an online business there can seem to be a mountain of obstacles to climb - from getting your website online to finding the right products to sell and the best customers to buy them.

To those businesses having websites attached to it; once you buy a domain name for 300 Naira, and host it with 2,500 Naira, you can simply customize with WordPress and save yourself the stress of paying thousands of Naira to developers.

You can use the woo-commerce plugin to create a store on it.

There is no how you’d be among people who are financially successful, and not become one. A few years back as a broke personality roaming the streets of Lagos, I finally met a top Affiliate Marketer via this forum.

We became close and started relating on a whole new level. I didn’t want money, all I wanted was knowledge. It was hard to make him give me the knowledge (though I had to pay for it), but that is what puts food on my table till date. I have made millions from gross commissions in Affiliate marketing, and I am not stopping anytime soon.

You run with Ideas

Before I joined Fiverr, I didn’t bother reading up all those jargons on the internet. I simply contacted a successful Fiverr worker; bought his E-book guide for 6k in 2016, I recouped my investment of 6k in the first 2 weeks .and went on to make $150. It was small, but ever since I have made 6 digits on monthly basis.

You don’t suffer from the trial and error method in the 21st century when people already have models that work. Just invest a little amount in someone’s successful model, and set up your own to earn thousands of dollars immediately.

This is a general trait for those that will be successful. When you first start a venture that would earn you money, it isn’t always easy at first. Your first few months MIGHT be discouraging, but you don’t give in to the disappointments.

Saving to buy something

A colleague of mine took a loan just to buy the iPhone 7 when it was newly launched. I called him “the genius of financial stupidity”. I didn’t know the reason for that but trust me that it was one stupid financial mistake that most of us make.

We take loans to buy cars, houses, clothes, shoes, etc. Then we now work hard all the days of our lives to pay back those loans. The issue of credit card loans isn’t common in Nigeria like in America, but it is gradually creeping into the minds of people.

I bought my first car after 1 and a half year of setting up my business. I made so much profit that I had to congratulate myself by purchasing the car. Instead of saving, why not set up a business, then you buy the car from your excess revenue.

Purchasing Liabilities

One of the best financial decisions I took was to attend a seminar on affiliate marketing (cost me 5k) plus an electronic material I purchased for 4k. It gave me the blueprint I needed to become an expert today.

I could have used the money to buy a new phone and all, and then I come on social media to blame the Govt and lament.

Purchasing liabilities with limited funds is something common among youths today. A guy/girl would be comfortable spending 10k on a hangout but can invest just 3k to set up a business that will generate more than $400 on a monthly basis.

It is called financial foolishness.
