They are not saying the companies will sell in Africa, but manufacture in Africa and then export to the US at lower tariffs.
Trump will adjust the tarrifs accordingly grin

I saw this opinion printed in an Indian media. What do you think if it happens?

"Rather than bringing manufacturing back to the US, global firms may just relocate to low-tariff nations, possibly in Africa."

Purchasing power is everything.

Africa isn't yet there. Trump knows that these companies needs the US like oxygen.

Nigerians skip air travel as high costs ground flights

Nigeria’s domestic air travel declined in 2024, driven by aircraft shortages and soaring ticket prices that placed air travel out of reach for many passengers.

Data from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) shows a 10 percent drop in passenger traffic, with numbers falling from 12.05 million in 2023 to 11.55 million in 2024.

People want to chop dividends first before being hopeful of capital appreciation.

Exit the non-div paying stocks and position to the ones that are paying.

Look around you, almost everyone is in survival mode. Nobody wanna solve any problem from top to bottom.

The LOVE and PEACE the major religions promised us are nowhere to be found.

When the head is good, the sick part of the body can be cured. A madman doesn't know that he's suffering from Malaria and Typhoid.

It requires sanity to be able to know what the issue is and how to tackle it.

We have the laws in place, but no willpower to execute them.

Until we have a sane head (leader), there will be no consequences for crime and corruption.

He Who Comes To Equity Must Come With Clean Hands.

My brother, if you look at it critically and analytically, we need to tell ourselves the truth sonthat we can make the necessary changes.

If majority of our people decide to cross a highway or expressway right under or within a 100 meters diameter of a pedestrian bridge and put themselves and drivers in harm's way, they can not be classified as people that have an average IQ.

They definitely have an IQ level below the average and will always make silly decisions most of the time.

Unfortunately even those with high IQs among the people will witness a decline in their quotient when they continue to interact with people that have IQs below the accepted average globally.

Such interaction can either be physical or through electronical means.

For the umpteenth time

I keep wondering WHY someone will list a company and own over 80% of the shares

What's the rationale behind that for goodness sakes
And why does the NSE allow this in the first place

BUA group is the one I am side eyeing here
How will corporate governance (truly and really) be in such companies sef

To add insult to injury, na "penny penny" dividend them dey pay
I don't know why the governing body allows it. Private ownership shouldn't be more than 40%

Two pages don go because of unfruitful arguments.

Keep who you are to yourself, nobody in this thread gives a F*. Nobody is feeding anyone here, so I see no reason for all these outbursts.

If someone says what doesn't align with you, simply ignore him or her. It's that simple.

If you're too wealthy, you won't be here, but rather with Warren Buffet's inner circle.

How to make more money is the major aim of this thread, let us not deviate.

Lower your weapons and let love lead.

The current negotiation was N37.10 and it wasn't accepted
So it should be reviewed up much more to the satisfaction of minority shareholders.
I believe minority shareholders will shift ground small from 37 naira.

Since the company proposed 23.
