Whisper: As a beginner who wants to build a solid portfolio. Pick one MOAT stock from each sector. Also, try to target oversold stocks, don't FOMO.

MOAT - "In stock market terms, a "moat" refers to a company's sustainable competitive advantage, essentially acting as a barrier that protects it from competitors, allowing it to maintain profitability and market share over a long period, similar to the moat surrounding a medieval castle; the wider the moat, the stronger the company's competitive edge." - Gemini

imagine what ATLASS PORTFOLIO sent as stocks recommendation.

So many of them on downside of above 45%. Even livestocks feed on 66% downside.
PRESCO target price N350, TOTAL N310, UACN n20.5, CONOIL N200, SEPLAT N3,365, VITAFOAM N25 etc.

I wonder what their research team is up to.

They even placed some stocks which on higher target prices on SELL rating.

is this laziness on the part of research or deception.

i was even asking them for explanation but nothing convincing.

The rate is determined in real-time at the moment you want to invest.

They can't state a rate till the time of investing because it fluctuates, which is obvious.
Dollar funds are best for those who earn in foreign currency.

Exchange rate fluctuation will use a straw and sip all the rewards if the exchange rate at the time is around ATH.

Transcorp Power Plc has announced plans to increase its share of electricity generation in Nigeria to 25 per cent, up from its current 12 per cent.

He further highlighted that Transcorp Power had fully repaid its $215m foreign currency acquisition loan, which was secured in 2014.

Following the complete repayment, the company’s gearing ratio dropped from 64.48 per cent in 2023 to 29.70 per cent in 2024, strengthening its financial position.

“The repayment of our USD loan has significantly strengthened our financial position, enabling us to pursue more growth opportunities,” he said.

What's that story of Malaysia banning CNG and returning to Petrol due to hazard or so..(even though both Na fossil)

Germany of all countries who are the super powers of renewable energy in Europe could not practicalize what they sanctioned-Ban on Russian oil.
Na them still import the oil pass to power their industries despite their solar advocacy and consumption. grin

Most solar related products are like the Android-Go OS Version of main android OS grin
Or rather the Browser Lite version of main browsers grin

They can't realy compare to heavy load requirements of their counterparts without efficiency being affected.

How about the Solar functionality during winter season of 3-5months in these western and European countries?

Powering precision industrial equipments 24/7, not to mention 3-phase motors without redundancy and high initial starting capacity?

What they banned was NGV and not CNG.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Youngzedd(m): 2:45am On Feb 25, 2025
Every component of the solar energy system is getting cheaper and better.

Compare the price of Lithium batteries to understand better. The issue we are having in this part of the world is the exchange rate. Even with the bad exchange rate, lithium battery is cheaper today than it was last year.

As countries start banning the production of petrol cars, the demand for petrol will nosedive.

Yes! There are still people who will drive petrol cars, but what we are looking at is the quantity. As more people drive EV cars, the government may impose a tax on those with petrol cars, which will accelerate the phase-out of petrol cars.

Nigeria's fuel consumption before and after subsidy removal aren't the same. We all know that business is a game of numbers, the higher the number, the higher the profit in most cases.

Technology will drastically reduce the demand for many things, petrol inclusive.

If our country fails to diversify ASAP, the future won't be so bright.
