idealtailor:dangote cement fbn presco * I would rather replace NEM with MANSARD when it goes below 9 naira, averaging down. Whisper: As a beginner who wants to build a solid portfolio. Pick one MOAT stock from each sector. Also, try to target oversold stocks, don't FOMO. MOAT - "In stock market terms, a "moat" refers to a company's sustainable competitive advantage, essentially acting as a barrier that protects it from competitors, allowing it to maintain profitability and market share over a long period, similar to the moat surrounding a medieval castle; the wider the moat, the stronger the company's competitive edge." - Gemini #NFA #DYOR #DD |

NASCON declaring 2 naira dividend is 6.45% yield from 31 Naira price where it hovered around for months. It's not bad. |

SonofElElyonRet:Dollar cost averaging |
emmasoft:Dollar funds are best for those who earn in foreign currency. Exchange rate fluctuation will use a straw and sip all the rewards if the exchange rate at the time is around ATH. |
DCA is golden. |

Transcorp Power Plc has announced plans to increase its share of electricity generation in Nigeria to 25 per cent, up from its current 12 per cent. He further highlighted that Transcorp Power had fully repaid its $215m foreign currency acquisition loan, which was secured in 2014. Following the complete repayment, the company’s gearing ratio dropped from 64.48 per cent in 2023 to 29.70 per cent in 2024, strengthening its financial position. “The repayment of our USD loan has significantly strengthened our financial position, enabling us to pursue more growth opportunities,” he said. https://punchng.com/transcorp-eyes-25-electricity-market-share/ |

Every component of the solar energy system is getting cheaper and better. Compare the price of Lithium batteries to understand better. The issue we are having in this part of the world is the exchange rate. Even with the bad exchange rate, lithium battery is cheaper today than it was last year. As countries start banning the production of petrol cars, the demand for petrol will nosedive. Yes! There are still people who will drive petrol cars, but what we are looking at is the quantity. As more people drive EV cars, the government may impose a tax on those with petrol cars, which will accelerate the phase-out of petrol cars. Nigeria's fuel consumption before and after subsidy removal aren't the same. We all know that business is a game of numbers, the higher the number, the higher the profit in most cases. Technology will drastically reduce the demand for many things, petrol inclusive. If our country fails to diversify ASAP, the future won't be so bright.
