Hi good people of Nairaland, I've this close person of mine in my family who asked me of good and lucrative business ideas he can do with 500k-800k budget that can bring him daily income or something at least consistent.

Note he's almost 60 years but still very agile and guyman, he's based currently in ijoko ogun state and also shuttles Lagos at time.

Surely there's a new era of Seamless Rail transportation in Lagos again barely after a year launch of Lagos State Blue line.

The Lagos Red line finally started its commercial operations on 15th October 2024 which was launched by the governor Mr Babajide Sanwoolu and other dignitaries.

The 27-kilometre Red Line has eight stations at Oyingbo, Yaba, Mushin, Oshodi, Ikeja, Agege, Iju, and Agbado.

The train service is projected to transport about 500,000 Lagosians daily as the schedule is increased, providing a viable means of commuting.

However, I made a detailed video for all of us to watch and have a feeling of what the Lagos Red Line experience feels like from the boarding process up till the departure time.

You will hardly see news of him inaugurating a project or Inspecting a project either roads or any other infrastructures. I've never seen him commissioning a major project since over 2 years he's spending now.

Don't be an ignorant. Why would you take a trip on train from Oshodi to Mushin? Train doesn't operate bus stop to bus stop. It for a long distance journey.

People and oversabi, this is a mass transit not a long distance train.
That's why each station have their boarding time and stop time, It's like a larger BRT on Rail.
You can the train from Ikeja and stop at Oshodi, they all have their prices. Zone A, Zone B and Zone C

This is surely the ancestral or historic part of Ibadan for the locals, so you don't expect things to change.
We Nigerians enh, how will we maintain our cultural heritage?? If structures like this are demolished.
But we can pay thousands of dollars to go to Santorini to see the same old buildings and cultural heritage.

The truth is Mbah seems to be in the right course with the news coming out this days from Enugu. If all true then I can say Enugu is on full industrialization path if this investment deals continue this way and this one of the way Enugu can be become one of the major powerhouse in Nigeria.
Imagine each Nigeria states are been structured in sense, they must contribute at least one thing to the country. E.g in terms of agriculture outputs, technology, manufacturing, e.t.c We would have really gone far. Not one state resources feeding the whole country

I still feel more could be done in terms of adding more stations in between each of them, so it can actually serve as alternative transportation. Having to stop at Yaba and then taking two or three bus to your home, still sound like not much progress has been made.

Even as that, the distance for example, between Yaba station and Mushin station is very long. If they wanted this to impact more people and reduce over reliance on buses, then there should have been at least two more stations between Yaba and Mushin.

And yes it is also time Lagos considered underground rails. Way more efficient than all these, especially for corridors exclusively in Lagos.

it still a test ride, the trains run on a slow speed. I see them everyday I'm sure when it starts full operations it will be running fast at least 45 minutes from Oyingbo to Agbado

Firstly the area you're seeing was filled cos it's a swampy area boss.
Secondly, this bridge needs to be connected to another bridge again on Lagos ikorodu expressway which is one of the reasons why it was elevated.

How someone will graduate with 5.0 CGPA in a Nigerian university baffles me. Somehow it feels fake.

I don't really believe it.

Before you come for me, I graduated with 1st class and was the top of my class in Engineering as well.

And it's always from this particular school. I feel they just inflate their students result.

How can you have 5.0 CGPA after Technical Drawing, Thermodynamics, Fluid mechanics, ODE, Engineering Maths, Statics, Dynamics etc, and none of them gave you a B? Haba

That 5.0CGPA in Engineering is fake.

it's very possible sir, I'm also in engineering Unilag. There are scholars and crazy minds here Alot of them, something about Unilag is they merit you any score you deserve and really worked for.
A is 70/100 so how is not possible for a scholar not to get 70 out of 100? There are people who Sabi and breathe in this book.
