izzyboi: Good morning everyone
I want to ask, is a laptop better than a mobile device for the test? I recommend you use a 4G enabled android phone with chrome |

As for those who haven't done. 1. Use Chrome (Disable pop-up blockers) 2. Make sure you have one one tab opened + the pop-up window page for the exam |

Lastbornbuns: Unsuccessful. I changed to chrome when it started misbehaving from the mail browser.. like when u click on a link in ur mail and it just opens. Probably should've copied and pasted in chrome before starting. It's all good. Thanks. I also had this same issue. At first I used an iPhone, it blocked the pop-up window page for the test, so I switched to laptop.it didn't even open. It was telling me error. I then, switch to Chrome on an android phone. Then, I started, I noticed the time was 44 minutes left. |

Hadeehart101: Maybe this is why I was not successful. Had multiple tabs opened on my browser already. I was so sure of 90% of the questions though. Oh! Is this your first time of taking an online test? It is a known rule. But, stay positive dear. No one is certain of winning yet though. We are all hoping and keeping our trusts in God |

Lastbornbuns: My network messed up big time. When I got to no.5, it just froze for like 3mins, I switched to someone's wifi, the person's phone stopped browsing so I had to manage my network like that. But now I'm done with the test the stupid network is not having issues, it wasn't even having issues before the test. should've waited till tomorrow. The worst part is that I was sure of most of my answers. I even used calculator to be doubly sure. I'm just annoyed... after planning how I'll spend d money Did you get a congratulatory result? |
Education › Re: Seplat JV Scholarship PAST QUESTIONS by Zayd007(m): 10:46pm On Nov 23, 2020 |
Bridget001: Thanks. I have some questions 1) Is there a webcam that has to be activated or some other modalities/requirements?
2) I received the shortlisted email today and it said I can do the exam within a week of receiving the email. Just to be sure... When you logged in to the site, did it show a deadline date to write the exam?
3) Is calculator allowed?
4) Did you open only one tab in your browser?
No vex, my questions plenty 1. No webcam activated. I used my phone (check the attached image for the instruction given just at the start of the exam) 2. You can take the exam in one of the days during the one week. You can pause and resume only on that same day 3. Yes, it is allowed (not stated though) 4. Yes and No. the login page and the pop-up window page for the exam. You are not allowed to open more than those two You can put a call through to me tomorrow. Check my signature

Education › Re: Seplat JV Scholarship PAST QUESTIONS by Zayd007(m): 9:21pm On Nov 23, 2020 |
Xandre: You didn't experience any lags with phone?
How was the test generally?
Don't mind my plenty questions please I used a 4G network. There was no lagging. When I first used an iPhone, it was blocking the pop-up window, So I couldn't do it. So, I had to continue with an android phone To be honest, the questions were very hard. They aren't questions for undergraduates. They are GMAT questions for job seekers. |

NYSC › Re: I Wish Someone Told Me This Before My NYSC by Zayd007(m): 6:46am On Nov 15, 2020 |
GeoAfrikana: Many people see NYSC as an opportunity to save money for the challenges ahead. I believe this isn't the best mindset to carry into NYSC.
I advise you to see NYSC as a great opportunity to learn, gather experience and make connections if you truly have a plan for your life.
You can 'work' yourself into a public school for your primary assignment (PPA), work for two or three days a week and use your free time to learn skills like graphic design, programming, data science, fashion designing, project management etc.
You also get to meet bright minds from other schools. They may be poor today but only God knows what tomorrow holds. Besides that, you get to share ideas that can open your mind to opportunities and trigger your innovation and creativity. So, NYSC is a great avenue for healthy and useful socialization.
Finally, the allawee is enough to live a reasonable life (at least for your one year service). You can offer to work for free in a private company. In the real sense it isn't free because you're gathering experience and building a portfolio. For example, you may offer to work in a private university in exchange for no monthly stipends. At least after your NYSC, you can boast in your CV that you have lecturing experience.
Finally, if you love yourself and have plans for your future, please avoid private secondary schools. Don't be enticed with their 5,000-10,000 monthly stipend.
Firstly, that 10k will not improve your welfare reasonably. Also, there's little or no useful experience to acquire in a private secondary school. Finally, they'll consume every calorie in your body and second of your time. You won't have time for any personal development.
I wish I had someone to tell me this during my service year. I hope this will help someone.
In conclusion. Please don't see NYSC as a money-making scheme. The 400k per year can't take you anywhere. However, it can help you think worry less about hunger and focus on self-development for a year. ...and year is enough to learn whatever you want to learn.
I hope this helps someone. God Bless you Boss |
