Hello! Green house Family

This is arhayjay (now Zeal2know), how's 'settling in' in our various new states and preparation to leave nigeria for those who are still at home.

The weather is getting cold in most places so be prepared, we all should keep ourselves warm as the Winter season would be new to a lot of us (ki Olorun je ki o barawa mu o- some1 shld please translate in English).

For those in houston, I found out that the IBC Bank recruits twice monthly and they employ even 'new comers', they'll train u for about 6 weeks so u'll b well equipped to work for them BUT the pay isnt attractive at all! (check www.glassdoor.com for salary range), the good thing though is that they'll give you a chance and it's a start! Take your resume to their HO at 5615 Kirby Drive, Houston TX and ask for Shayla White or to any of their branches around you and ask for the branch manager.

mikeudoka: Welcome to Texas. Lemme answer few of your questions

1. He can drive with the international license but should be very careful. Traffic rules are different here but if you drive well in Nigeria you should be good in a short while. He doesn't need an endorsement to get the original license and you should know that the international license if not a valid form of identity when applying for your Texas drivers license. But you can use it to drive for a while as long as you stay out of trouble.

2. I opened my bank of America account the 2nd day I landed here with my passport only. Later you can update with your ssn

3. Yes as pregnant woman you can apply for medicaid immediately.

4. Don't know much about this and would be glad to also learn from someone that knows
