FoodHow To Make Coconut Milk At Home by zeepebblez(op): 10:19pm On Aug 27, 2014
Make coconut milk at home, take a break from the canned one!

Maybe you(just like me) are more conscious of ur health by reducing canned foods. Why don't you just stay healthy with this natural milk.

You can use it in baking, with ur tea, coffee, just think of it!
Do it yourself! It's pretty simple

You will need;
-The flesh and water from one fresh coconut
-1 + ½ cup plain water
-Blender

INSTRUCTIONS
-extract the coconut flesh from the hard shell and peel the brown coat
-Put coconut flesh, coconut water and 1 cup water to the jar of your blender
-Process on the highest possible speed for 5-10 minutes, to really get the most out of that coconut flesh as much as possible.
-When you feel the coconut has given all it had to give, transfer the contents of your blender to a fine sieve that's been lined with cheesecloth( you can use a clean white cotton handkerchief instead)
-Add another half cup of plain water to the jar of your blender and give it a quick spin just to get every last bit that was left behind.
-Now squeeze the hell out of your coconut. And I do mean the hell! Squeeze until it can’t get another drop out.
You will be left with a bunch of dry, VERY dry, and finely bland and tasteless, shredded coconut (freaking unpalatable). Don't discard this, there's a couple of ways you can use it( that's another topic for another time).
Transfer your beautiful coconut milk to an airtight glass jar or container, and keep refrigerated for 3-4days, 5 days max. But seriously, you’ll want to just plain drink this straight from the jar, coz it's cray creamy, oh my! If that's your intention, pls feel free to do so, as there are no laws against that!

You can't go wrong with that milk!
Thank me later!
