NYSCDiscriminatory Exclusion And Rationing Of Corp Members As Inec -adhoc Staff. by Zeezyo(op): 7:35pm On Feb 17, 2019
Discriminatory Exclusion and Rationing Of Corp Members As Inec -Adhoc Staff.

Silence they say is a crime in an unjust society .Hence, the need to bring to notice the negative developments in some states like Zamfara and Jigawa as regards the list of Inec Ad hoc staff for the 2019 General Elections.
Corp Members trained as Ad-hoc staff in Zamfara states are been shortchanged. It is reported from reliable sources(serving Corp members) serving in Gusau and Tsafe local government area that corp members shortlisted are to participate in a single election (presidential/National assembly elections or gubernatorial /state house of assembly election). Half of the training allowance is to be paid to each Corper as ad-hoc staff after attending all the trainings organized by INEC. Also, Corp members would be paid for either of the election process they participated.
Similar development was reported in Jigawa state where alot of Corp members serving in Dutse and environs were discriminately excluded and shortchanged from the final list of Inec ad-hoc Staff after all they expended in time ,effort and money in training process. It was reported by a Corper serving in one of the state secondary school in jigawa who doesn't want his name disclosed that corp members were replaced with the collaboration of politicians, State INEC and NYSC officials.
Alot of questions needs to be answered such as :
-Who directed the exclusion of Corp members from participating in the electoral process ?
-What is the motive behind the exclusion and rationing of corpers trained as ad-hoc staff (presiding officers and assistant presiding officers) in Zamfara and Jigawa?
-Whose account is the remaining half of the training allowance going to ?
-Why would Corp members serving in a state be excluded even with Inec rules stipulation that presiding officers is exclusively for Corper?
-Why is NYSC and INEC doing nothing to ensure that competent hands ( Corper) are giving their deserved position?
All stakeholders such as political parties, electoral observers, civil societies NYSC,INEC,state government and federal government should be aware of this negative developments which is detrimental to the electoral process.
Finally, on behalf of the shortchange and excluded Corp members and as a concerned Nigerian ,we want this manipulations and sharp practices to be looked into and adressed by the concerned authorities to avoid recruitment of untrained persons , misappropriation of fund and manipulation of the electoral process in order to ensure a free and credible election.
Muhammad Mohammad.
