A father of two young children, Hassan Khebbeiz, died while reading the Quran just a week after arriving in Birmingham, U.K.

Having lost his parents at a young age, Khebbeiz fled conflict in Syria and came to the UK seeking a better life.

Khebbeiz, 59, arrived earlier this month and was staying in temporary accommodation off Hagley Road with his wife and two children.

He passed away suddenly last week while reciting the Quran. His brother and four sisters remain in Syria, while his wife and children are now navigating their new life in the UK alone.

Oldbury-based Iqbal & Sons Bereavement Service has offered to cover Hassan's funeral costs under a free Muslim funeral program.

They have launched an appeal to raise £3,700 to cover his burial plot fee at Sutton New Hall Cemetery. "He arrived in August, just a week later his wife found him slumped on a desk with the Quran in his hands. It's very sad," the firm stated.

As of 2:45 p.m. on Monday, August 19, the appeal had raised £290. The appeal message read, "Your contribution, no matter the size, will help give Hassan the respectful farewell that every soul deserves. In these moments, our collective compassion can make all the difference. Let us come together to support Hassan’s grieving family and to honour his memory in the most meaningful way."

Hi, this is a throwaway account cause no one can finds out about this.

I'm 15 ( It's actually my birthday today lol ) and I live with a muslim family.

They think that I am muslim, I wear the hijab and I never told them otherwise because my mom already told me that she would no longer consider me her daughter.

My parents are already ashamed of me because I don't pray or read the quran but they blame it on living in France ( We are from morocco ).

I always been abused by my family and when I wanted to kill myself I met my bestfriend. She literally saved my life and I will always be grateful for that, I can't live without her because she is my main happiness in life.

My mom never liked this friendship because she is a french atheist and my mom hate atheists. So I acted like I wasnt friend with her anymore.

I live in a small city and one of my moms friend saw me with my best friend and sent a picture to my mom, telling her that I hanged out with a lesbian.

Everyone in here knows that my friend is lesbian because she posted pictures with her girlfriend multiple times but my mom didnt know yet.

Today, my mom acted like she just wanted to wish me a happy birthday but instead when everyone was out she started screaming and crying that I was no longer a human, that I was a monster and that she packed her suitcase and was ready to leave.

I tried to comfort her but she then told me about the pictures, and that I was going to hell. She also told me that Islam was in my DNA and that I could never escape this religion. That I was going to be depressed because I was ruining my life, that I didnt deserve any happiness. I denied everything, told her that I was a muslim and didnt care about that friend.

I can't move out because of my age and I originaly wanted to stay here until my second year of college ( when I would be 18 )

But now, I was forced to block my friend on social media without even explaining it to her and I can't hang out with her because someone would see us and tell my mom.

I never loved my family, they never treated me right and without my best friend I don't think I can enjoy life anymore. I have friends but they are all muslim and childrens of my parents friends.

I don't know what to do anymore, I'm scared that my parents will hit me again cause it never happened since I wore the hijab.

Please give me advices, Islam is ruining my life.
