EducationWe Don’t Work With Students One-on-one Or Offer Assistance In The Classroom by zentee(op): 7:25pm On Feb 23, 2024
, Approximately 9000 children who require special education are not receiving one. According to information obtained by ITY News, thousands of children in England, Wales, and Scotland who have additional special needs are not receiving a good education. Many of them are not even accepted into a school, which means they are missing months or even years of learning.

According to ITY News, many of them say that the support system isn’t just failing them; it’s not functioning at all, even if they are succeeding in getting their child enrolled.

Quddus who is only six years old hasn’t attended school in nearly two years. His standard school said it could not meet his needs since he has autism.

He can attend a specialist school, but it’s too far away, and Quddus’s mother Dare Olaifa-oyeniyi says she wasn’t providing the extra help they had been promised.

Therefore, each time I went to the council, they kept on sending me back and telling me that the council wasn’t paying it.

ALSO: WHY DO PUPILS WITH AUTISM NEED UNREGULATED EDUCATION

I was becoming really angry and furious because he wasn’t receiving therapy and they couldn’t get him to learn, which meant he wasn’t developing his speech still. The council would tell me this every time I went to them.

Since the council has won its appeal and there is currently nowhere else to go, quddus is falling behind in the conference, I reasoned that perhaps this was the incorrect environment and that I might find another one for him.

It now impacts pupils who have an education health care plan or EHCP. Local authorities use EHCPs to describe the extra help that children require, but there aren't many special schools in some areas. One parent told us that attending one would be like winning the lottery.

According to ITY News, many of them say that the support system isn't just failing them; it's not functioning at all, even if they are succeeding in getting their child enrolled.

My concern and fear are about what will ultimately happen to my child, why we are not being heard, why we are blocked, and why he isn't receiving what everyone else has, which is a fundamental right that he refuses to acknowledge.

quddus has an Education Health and Care plan, or EHCP, which is a legal document that defines the extra support a child needs up until the age of 25

According to the mother of one of the autistic children, Emma, say that we believe that they contacted about 11 schools, possibly a few more than that, they received all the replies and they were negative, they could not meet Magdeline’s needs. There was no school, there was no school.

There was nothing else that we could have done. I think that the current educational system is outdated and not working for kids with autism.

AI recreates school shooting victims’ voices to request action from politicians. In an attempt to reach politicians in new ways, activists are using AI technology to replicate the voices of six people who died as a result of firearms in a phone campaign known as the Shotline.

to directly appeal to lawmakers, mentioning Haken Oliver, a 17-year-old who was killed in the Parkland hallway outside his classroom.
AI generated the voice of Joaquin Oliver “It’s been 6 years and you’ve done nothing, not a thing to stop all the shootings that have continued to happen since, the thing is I died that day in Parkland my body destroyed by a weapon of War, I’m back today because my parents used AI to recreate my voice to call you, other victims like me will be calling too again and again to demand action.”

initially, you now have plans to study library and information science but you found yourself there, even though you had a way of loving it at the end of the day, now other students perhaps find themselves in similar situations, who just want to go to school because that’s the admission that has been given to them, now to a point of course studying versus the certificate that is been obtained upon graduation, which is why most people upon graduation begin to either change the career path or get into a different field completely and the factors that you think are responsible for these.

there’s also a recent development where a lecturer has advocated the study of Witchcraft in Nigerian universities, do you think courses like this will further reshape Nigeria or would it add value to the system generally?

According to Sochi, he said it is about time such courses are put into the system because there are lots of fallacies out there, there are lot of understanding about this witchcraft traditional practice, but then on the other hand you ask yourself what is the direct

We don hear, let it be so.
Kuginzi:
The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, has promised that incidents of accidental bombing would not repeat itself in the country's military.

The CDS who together with the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Taoreed Lagbaja, has come under public bashing, stated this while talking to newsmen at the 4th Edition of the Chief of Defence Staff Armed Forces and Security Agencies Half Marathon Championship 2023, on Saturday in Abuja.

He described the Kaduna incident as regrettable, adding that the nation and the armed forces were mourning those who had died during the incident.

SaharaReporters reports that more than 100 Kaduna residents were killed in an accidental air strike on Tudun Biri community in the Igabi Local Government Area during a Mawlid Nabiy celebration.

Speaking with newsmen o Saturday, the CDS said, “He said, “We pray for the repose of those that have died and those that are injured. We will make sure that they are provided for and the Federal Government and everyone is putting hands on deck to ensure that we take care of the community, take care of those that have been injured and also ensure that this doesn’t happen again.

" I want to thank all the Nigerians for understanding with members of the armed forces and other security agencies.

“It was not deliberate. It was something that should not have been. We are going to move forward and we are using this competition to appreciate Nigerians for all their support and love for members of the armed forces and to assure them that we will continue to work very hard. We want to restore peace and tranquility in Nigeria and God willing, all of us together will achieve that.”
