I've listened close to 85% of the bands listed by you guys. Its good to know that there are guys who listen to rock in nigeria. I've met some guys that will say they do listen to rock, but if i check their playlist, i'll find out that rock is been mix with our naija jams. Well, i dont consider them rock fans. Being a rock fan means you dont just like singled out songs, but the band itself.

Heck, i've even had someone tell me that I look too classy to be listening to dat "junk rock music".. Imagine the rage..Does one have to be scatter brained to enjoy rock now? What's wif the prejudice against rock music in nigeria? Some say "it's demonic" others say "it's too white" ..it's so...so..ANNOYING!
How do you deal with your critics? (A.K.A Oversabi ppl. who wouldn't know good music even if it hits them in the face)

yeah i get that alot. But i dont give a damn. Well do i try my best to stick to my headset, and use the sound system when nobody's around. Its a pity though, cos they dont know what they're missing.

Well you may survive meshuggah's Kolos album but Neurosis's Through silver in blood album? You have to be a real metal head like me, like Scott said "It's not meant to be enjoyed" lol so careful lol. We talking, stomach churning , bone crushing,. Abrasive rock music lol. Just a warning.
Finally the album is a journey from track 1 to the last so to go on this journey of abrasive sweet torture you gotta get the full neurosis album.

trust me, i can handle anything. And for the record, my songs are usually downloaded in albums with good id tags and album art. I dont like music to just scatter around my player. Thanks bro.

Just decided to join nairaland and i found this post. I'm a crazy rock fan, burning all rock genre from alternative to heavy metal with few death metal. But i strictly dont listen to heavy death metal. I cant list all my band names, cos i gat dem much.
