Someone asked this question on the web forum quora and got this incisive reply, so I decided to share; Why do some people believe that cars stop running when they are crushed or scrapped or rust away to nothing? Why do some people believe that fires stop burning when they are extinguished or die out? Why do some people believe that boats are no longer floating when they sink? Why do some people believe that magnetic cassette tapes won’t play Madonna when they have been erased? Why do some people believe that sandcastles are not still there after a wave has come wash them away? Why do some people believe that their Samsung Galaxy S7 will not still make calls after it’s exploded? I could go on but I think you get the point. When a thing no longer has the mechanisms to function, it does not keep on performing that function. Humans are no different. When your lungs fail, you can no longer breathe. When your heart fails, you can no longer circulate blood. When your brain fails, you can no longer think or have emotions or store memories. It would be quite surprising if the opposite were true. It would not fit with what we know about literally everything and so it’s quite natural to believe that when a thing fails to function, it cannot continue to function. |

A Ghanaian pastor has reacted to the recent mobbing death of Captain Adam Mahama, the Ghanaian soldier who was stoned to death and thereafter burnt after he was mistaken for an armed robber. Controversial pastor, Bishop Daniel Obinim, was the first to react to the death when he said that he wanted to save the army captain, but Jesus Christ warned him (Obinim) through his WhatsApp to desist from doing so. The WhatsApp is a free messaging app. Obinim, who leads the International Godsway Church, said he had seen the lynching of Captain Mahama and wanted to “fly to the scene” of the incident to save him, but his “father Jesus Christ” sent him a message on WhatsApp that he “should not distort the happenings.” In an interview with a Ghana media, Obinim said the captain’s time was due and Jesus needed him to sit with him by his side in heaven. He, however, cursed that the villagers who lynched Mahama would not know peace till they die. Obinim is said to have been in and out of Police custody several times for certain allegations. The most recent was said to be the flogging of a pregnant woman in his church. Curled from newspaper publication

A friend of mine confided in me that sometimes on rare occasions when he makes love to his girlfriend, she often mourns out a name and my guy says it's a masculine name. Each time he confronts her regarding the issue she seems perplexed and discomlabulated. My guy says his girlfriend is like an open book and she hardly knows how to lie.She vehemently denied calling any name and my guy is beginning to think maybe it's all in his head. Please this happened to a very close friend of mine, I am just seeking meaningful opinion because he seeked my advice.
