A senior administration official told reporters on a call Friday that "what the deal does is actually quite simple here." First, the tentative deal "reopens the strait and lifts the blockade," the official said, referring to the Strait of Hormuz. Number two, it "leads to the dismantling of" Iran's nuclear program. Number three, it leads to the U.S. "getting the enriched material" which would then be "destroyed on site and then taken out of the country," the senior administration official said. The official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the tentative deal also "guarantees a long-term peace in the region," allowing Iran to no longer fund terrorist violence. "Finally it has an inspection regime that makes sure that this is a long-term commitment and that it's long-term enforceable," the official said. If Iran complies, they will be relieved of many of the economic pressures placed on them for years so they can be reintegrated into the world economy, the official said. The benefits only accrue if Iran delivers, the official said. There are some Iranian hardliners, the official said, who want to kill the deal, but many leaders in Iran want to keep it. "I feel very good about this deal," the official said, "but let's see here. We're not quite at the finish line yet." |
Don’t Iranians have elders? All indications show the leaders are not coordinating among themselves. They have nothing to lose by coming to the table and negotiating. The world will listen to them better and support them. They have lost/losing the battle. |
We are Nigerians not Iranian. WC go still hold. We need the slot sharp sharp.. |
The cycled guys have nothing to offer. Since the democracy started again, all they are after is power, not our welfare. I pray someone who has the heart of the people will come to deliver us from the pit of hell. |
The Governor wasn't praying or reciting the Psalms. Decorum and protocols should be observed. It's high time we prioritize things that uplift the general populace.

Until we consider the people and do it right, our people will suffer. Structures, corporate governance, and responsibilities should be our watchword. Until Educational standards are set as the bar for those who govern us, Nigeria as a nation will not experience rapid growth or development. Empathy, intellectual and strategic planning, are essential to our survival for economic development and growth. Make I rest my case. !!! |
