This is wrong.
German embassy doesn’t screen you before calling you for interview.
You pick a date and show up for interview on the said date with your documents.
After filling a form online.
You can even cancel your application on the interview date because you are yet to pay.
If they check all the mentioned organizations said by you, why do some people get their visas in 2days?

First, when applying for a visa, the receiving clerk checks if your documents are complete and all required fields are filled out correctly.

However, my husband and I only married traditionally and have no formal marriage certificate, and part of the requirement for checklist is to provide a marriage certificate "if applicable". Does this really matter, and will my daughter's birth certificate suffice for it since her father's name is on her birth certificate? Please, your opinion will be appreciated. Thank you.

TBH, that question is hard to answer right now, cos applications has been hanging for weeks as i learnt.
Home Affairs is currently running on low capacity and scrutiny of applications has been heightened.
This is the update.
So if you have anyone or know anyone visiting SA , advice them to arrange and upload the right documents to avoid refusals.
Stamp anything stamp-able because home affairs will confirm.
The possibility of delays of adjudication is as a result of delayed feedbacks on authentication of applications from providers or third parties.

Ask your questions here so they easily see iit and respond.

Hello sirs,
The visa is out and i got it. Special thanks to Zoey1 Hunee, and Africankel who answered my questions.
FYI: e/Visa from DHA, charged 24$ applied on 16th August.
I applied for 6 days and I got a month with a chance for multiple entries. I will be coming back on the 6th day though.

I don’t use Travel agents for anything.

I passed the embassy one time i had something to do around there. It is in Asokoro. Anyone planning to visit should board keke marwa from AYA to Ty Danjuma, it is around T junction towards Asokoro Village

finding reveals the website is fine. Just upload the documents as required. There is a maximum size, compress it and be sure it is within that range. Also, do not upload un-stamped bank documents. Attach hotel reservations covering entire stay, they need to see only the dummy. Most of you applying for e visas, need to be very patient and read carefully to grab information's.
You can always revert the thread for research work.

And the introduction letter from your secretary is okay.
No need for any hush hush document.
