abduleez1: TV fans, what do you make of this??
With the incoming launch of the Tsunami that is the DCU, who's a top or good actress who's significantly well known amongst TV audience that can veritably play the role of our beloved №1 superheroine— Wonder Woman ??
I'd have said Adria Arjona, would have been a perfect match and facial resemblance— but she's too short. 🤧 Now I'm thinking maybe, Frida Gustavsson of VIKINGS: VALHALLA would be the perfect choice. Similar young age as Superman and Lex Luthor actors. Perfect height. Has the warrior looks and played a very similar role as Wonder Woman, has the elegance and everything.
But what other options we got?
Modified: Gunn has clarified that DC isn't casting based on specific role or movies, but by acting prowess. So the list of possible actors goes BIGGER. I feel Jessica Green is the perfect cast |

abduleez1: Sadly this is the final season. Neil Gaiman personal issues also complicates this show going forward. It's somewhat essentially cancelled but with groundwork to end it properly. This nonsense of one person's personal issue affecting a show/movie needs to stop. The entire world suffering from just one person's mistake is not fair |

abduleez1: Just about 10 minutes into The Sandman S2 and I'm just shining my teeth and smiling to myself. This people really done a good job and pleasing me so far. Seeing this come to life while reading the comics several years ago just fills me with fulfillment having fell in love with the story years before it got adapted to film and TV. It's glorious!
The attention to detail, the actors casted, the mannerisms and the finer quirks. I just love it. Dream and Desire eternal dislike for each other. Dream, the always moody one. Destiny the ambiguous oracle. Desire always with the cunning personality. Death is just our chill goth girl. Delirium with her craze head and unpredictability. Despair just crashing out.
Only one missing is Destruction. Although, I understand why he abandoned his role.
I like the way Despair remained a fat woman.... Them for use wokeness wound us make them no offend some people, but I feel she's missing that dirty unkempt look she has in the comics.
That first intro seeing Delirium almost got me hollering. That her distinctive multicoloured eyes nearly make me kiss whoever nailed this look.
The mixture of greek mythology, fantasy and horror in Gaiman's universe is just GOATED. Neil Gaiman na OG abeg. I fit go back go re-read the comics again, there's minor kinks I fit don forget or never fully read. This experience just makes me giddy with joy. I need to relive this.
Who would have thought Netflix would be the one to bring this universe to life and largely faithful to the story? Well, it's clear the careful guiding hand of Gaiman is heavily involved in this project. Imagine Netflix decides to give us two more seasons |

Achilles100: Sandman
Finally done with it. Thoroughly enjoyed it especially the last two episodes.
There were some major highlights for me, when Dream said 'Oh Azazel' , the aura farming in that scene was raised to the power of aura farming. I liked it.
Orpheus singing, goosebumps everywhere, it was just plain beautiful.
Lucifer denying human beings saying he doesnt make us do anything. Baba deny us.
As beautiful as this show, they just had to force transgenderism into it, like this is a show about Greek mythology, wetin concern me if Alvin wey be driver turn Wanda. I understand Desire as anyone can have it. But not trying to go off track using a side character to do transgender education.
Those three Fate sisters are just something else, una set something in motion, now you are urging to deliver the consequences. Na wa!!!
BTW by Greek mythology how come Lucifer and Destruction can leave their post and there are no consequences.
Overall though 7/10. Sandman does not limit itself to just Greek mythology. Thor and Odin as seen in season is Norse mythology. The mention of Hell, devil, angels, God etc. Christianity. Chinese mythology is there too. The first people (Africa; nehri) |

TemporaryHansel: Andor absolutely deserves a third season. The way they wrapped it up felt rushed, anticlimactic, and emotionally flat - like they were just trying to meet a deadline rather than give the story the ending it earned. Honestly, one more season isn’t even enough. The plot had so much potential, and they fumbled it right when it mattered most. It’s a slow burn, sure - but one that builds into a legit masterpiece. A show like that deserves space to breathe, not an abrupt send-off. That's where Rogue One comes in |

OhBritannia: The wheel of time season 3 is a solid 10/10 for me.
Damm mehn!!! i am speechless, this is breathtaking, infact i don't even have a word qualify this series. This is officially my best show in 2025 so far. From the opening scenes to the closing scenes to the dialogues to cinematography to pictures to the storyline to the proper character building. This season 3, every episode gave me goosebumps and that episode 7 and 8 were top notch. Infact they gave us two finale, the episode 7 and 8 were double finale. From the trolloc war of episode 7 to the battle of moraine in episode 8. I had goosebumps mehn!!!! From the tears to the joy to inspirational and motivational. For a split second, i thought we lost moraine.
Let us talk about the lady that played morghedian. She deserves an award on how well, how over perfect she played her badass role. from the way she talks to the way she smiles and laughs, her facial movements, her eyes. So gentle, beautiful and yet one of the most ruthless villain in television history. She kills you while she laughs A proper evil 😈
Another lady we need to talk about is the mother of the tower "Siaun" We will miss her for real!!! She came, she saw and she conquered. One of the things i admired about her is her elegance, her perfect spoken words and her command of English. Even in death, she maintained her steeze.
Once again, we will miss her face.
This series is too deep that i am sure they can't even do it all in 5 seasons. The next season 4 awaits us again with another battle, another huddle to cross as lanfair escaped, the forsaken remains, the tower has been taken, the trollocs will return etc Infact the battle has just began.
I can't wait for season 4. I was surprised that Lanfair was scared. I thought she's hardcore |

OhBritannia: 1923 season 2 is a solid 9.5/10 for me.
DAMM!!!! this has to be one of the series with the most epic and iconic finale. A two hour finale that keeps you glue to your chair.
I have never doubted this yellowstone franchise. all series has been hits back to back and it feels good and educative to know how it all began and how John Dutton of the yellowstone was born. Now i understand where Beth from yellowstone got her ferocious and her no mercy attitude from. She is indeed the grand daughter of Alex and Spencer. This season 2 is one epic emotional roller-coaster and yes indeed, in this world it's either take or they take from you. I want to write on the casts but where do i even start from. Ain't all just so wonderful and amazing? They all brought their A games to the show.
The love between Alex and Spencer can equal or even be greater than the love between Jack and rose in Titanic. If anyman can experience such love in this lifetime, then that person can bodily say he lived a fulfilled life that 90% of people world wide don't get to live. To experience true love in its purest form from a woman.
I guess we might never see that kind of love again ever.
Let's talk about the dialogues of this show, it has one of the most interesting dialogues ever especially with the voice of the lady narrating events in the background. Kudos to all crew and cast members of this wonderful masterpiece. They made a hit. The dialogue between Alex and Spencer is something else. I am sad they never had time together |

OhBritannia: House of David is a solid 10/10 for me.
This show is the perfect definition of perfection!!!! First of all, let me give a special shout out to the actor that played "Samuel" The man played it as if he was born for the role.. The facial expressions, the body movements, the movement of his eyes, hand gestures, the way he speaks. The man was good mehn!!!!
Another shout-out to the queen mother, the wife of Saul. The woman is indeed a queen, she acted so well i began to wonder if she was a queen in real life. Infact all the casts gave their all, i am so in love with the casts.
Cinematography 8/10 Pictures 10/10 Storylines 10/10 Action 10/10 Thrill 10/10 Dialogues 10/10
Let us talk about the dialogues. One of the show ever with dialogues that took my breath away, dialogues that were mesmerised with poetry. Even when the dialogues were simple, you can still feel the aura of their intelligence.
And Damm!!! The women are beautiful Finally!!! i love how they added flavour and thriller to the storyline. Kudos to the script writers. It got to a point, i wish the show was like 10 episodes above. 8 episode were just too small for this masterpiece.
I am officially a disciple and a huge follower of this franchise and thank GOD its been renewed for season 2.
I am in love with the show 😊😊😊 Everything about the show is perfect especially that princess. Although I find David's constant Adonai songs very tiring lol |

Achilles100: I wouldn't blame her.
1. She didn't walk up to Matt to instigate the relationship, twas done by a mutual friend who felt they will match.
2. She is a top tier therapist, so definitely Fisk's people will always go for the best-in-class.
I feel though, it she over poke nose into Fisk's marriage, Fisk will find out she is dating Matt and use her as bait. Either way, it's not looking good for her |

Achilles100: I didn't know Daredevil was still continuing, I felt season 1had ended with both Fisk and Daredevil seeing they can't kill their darker side.
This new book that Matt's girlfriend want to write will be very interesting to see who Matt sets her up to have an interview. I don't trust that his girlfriend. See her positioning na haba. Only you dey date Matt, still you be Fisk's shrink. This kind coincident is suspicious. She fit be the main villain sef |

Harddiskng: Lol @ the bolded. This argument is flaw. That a planet takes 80, 365 or 600 days to complete revolving around the sun does change the concept of time itself. I think you are misunderstanding why “One year” or “one day” on mars is different from that of earth.
Your error is from the misunderstanding of the concepts themselves, the time a planet takes to revolve on its own axis is recognized as a day. The time is takes to go round the sun is recognized as a year.
You can be told something like one minute on earth is 4 minutes on mars. It just based on understanding of what makes a day and a year. Planetary revolutions. That does mean time itself is not absolute.
There may be other factors that could help us live longer, atmospheric conditions: gravity etc. however I strongly believe man would live out his usual earth lifespan no matter which planet he goes, that is if the conditions of that planet does not affect his health adversely. How is the argument flawed. We read it in Earth time as 80 days but to the creature in Venus it's not 80 days likewise Mars. Have you watched Interstellar? |
TV/Movies › Re: What Series Are You Watching Now? Part 2 by zoroby(m): 8:29pm On Mar 20, 2025 |
Baddestguyp: I don't see much benefit to his plan to build civilization on Mars tbh...
There are too many X factors...
I understand that he wants it to be a second home for humans if something happens to earth, say Earth is no longer safe for humans or we deplete our resources on Earth or we get attacked by aliens...
But I don't see how Nuking Mars will work-
1. If you nuke Mars, there is no guarantee that it will ever become safe for humans
2. We have places on Earth that were nuked decades ago and are still toxic due to Nuclear reaction like Hiroshima
3. Even if his plan works and temperature on Mars changes to be fit for humans, how long will that last before Mars returns to default while people may already be settling there...
4. If Earth gets destroyed by an Alien civilization, Mars is already close by, so nothing stops them from doing the same to Mars...
5. All he has on Nuking Mars are theories and not facts. No one really knows for sure what will happen if you nuke an entire planet... There may be serious effects to our Solar system...too risky
6. It's far safer to expend those resources into saving Earth than gambling on Mars Nuking Mars is a stupid plan and he knows it. Secondly, Elon might have said Mars will be the second home for humans but I think he is lying. Billionaires all over the world have everything except TIME. The exploration of Mars is a way of buying Time. Let me explain further: The number of days a planet uses to circulate (round) the sun shows the change of days, weeks, months and years which also affect the aging process. So if it takes 364 days to add a year to human on Earth it will take 80 days in Venus. Now imagine Mars!!! |

Baddestguyp: Bro I used YouTube to research the other books...cos it's based on three books...
And I can tell you that you haven't seen anything yet.
The book it's based on proposes a "Dark Forest Theory"
Basically the theory states that there are many alien civilizations in the universe but they are all quiet because they fear that they might be attacked and wiped out by a technologically superior civilization.
Anybody that reveals it's location like Earth did in the novels/Netflix series might be attacked and wiped out.
Na why I dey fear this one that we've been sending so many messages to space. Make e no go jam hostile aliens...
Our Voyager 1 launched since 1977 is still just about 22 Light hours away from Earth sha despite travelling at crazy speed of 61,500km/hr for over 48 years now...
Meanwhile there are many planets Millions of Light years away from Earth.
But na the radio signals we sent to space worse pass sha...them fit trace am back to us
Make we no go get "Three Body Problem in Real Life" because na the same radio signals the aliens use trace earth for that series 3 Body Problem is deep and the writers did their research well. The planet you are determine how you experience time. It made me wonder why Elon Musk is bent on building civilization on Mars |

Even forgetting the money, the script couldn't match GoT even at GoT's worst. There's no comparison to be made here. It's just not on GoT's level at all.
