PoliticsNoise Over DSS Arrest Of Judges by Zplus(op): 2:40pm On Oct 10, 2016
DSS arrest of judges to investigate alleged crime of bribery and money laundering, some Nigerians are shouting.
Are those shouting saying that judges are above the law? Are judges immune to arrest, investigation and prosecution?
The Nigeria Bar Association appears to be a major problem to Nigeria's progress. Lawyers go to courts to fight for d freedom of looters and criminals. Can't our lawyers place patriotism above business interest?
If alleged corrupt judges can't be investigated, why should other Nigerians be investigated?
Are we telling President Buhari to stop the war against corruption and leave Nigeria to continue to bleed?
It seems to me that Nigerians don't seem to agree on how to rescue the nation from the jugular of corruption.
If we fail to use the opportunity of Buhari to fight corruption, it may be diffucult to have a President that will have the moral right and the political will and courage to fight corruption.
If we don't want Nigeria dead and buried, the only option we have is to support and encourage Buhari's anti-corruption war no matter whose ox is gored.
The cry of political witch hunting is diversionary. If government says a person has looted our treasury, it is just a matter of the person proving that he did not loot. Why the noise?
We all want a better Nigeria but most people don't want to allow to be done what is necessary for change to occur.

Business14 Ways The Cartel Is Killing The Naira by Zplus(op): 10:35pm On Oct 08, 2016
Worsening Naira/Dollar Exchange Rate, the real issues:

1. A cartel of the super-rich Nigerians is responsible for the death of the Naira.
2. The cartel has foreign collaborators.
3. The cartel’s primary intention is to embarrass the govt of Buhari.
4. The cartel’s secondary interest is to make huge profit by speculating on d Naira exchange rate.
5. The cartel members hold high reserves of dollars and pounds built from the loots of the past years.
6. Other rich Nigerians that are not members of the cartel, bankers, and liquid people, seeing that the Naira is losing value, are rushing to buy dollars and pounds just for keep to preserve the value of their cash reserve.
7. The run on the Naira will continue unless govt takes steps to smash the cartel: they may push the Naira/Dollar rate to 1000 because it pays them.
8. Bankers and Mallams are making excessive money now from forex trading. It pays more than oil biz and manufacturing.
9. A lot of round-tripping is going on as many that buy dollar low from CBN will sell part or all to forex racketeers to make quick money.

PoliticsRe: Naira Devaluation Is Not The Solution by Zplus: 2:57pm On Nov 27, 2015
That the IMF is advising Nigeria to devalue her currency should not be a surprise. Currency devaluation is what world economic powers are using to enslave less developed countries so as to get the resources and labour of the less developed countries cheap. IMF is the Shylock agent of the G7. Nigeria should be very careful. It was because Buhari refused to devalue the Naira in 1985 that made the world powers sponsor the palace coup that ousted Buhari and brought Babangida who was ready to do their bidding. Today IMF has started again with Buhari and Nigeria. Serious matter o.
PoliticsRe: Naira Devaluation Is Not The Solution by Zplus: 11:12pm On Nov 26, 2015
Any right thinking Nigerian would agree that devaluation of the Naira could not be the solution to the nation's economic problem. There was a time in 1986 when N350 was buying $500 BTA. Today $500 is more than N100,000.00 and the nation is in deeper economic crisis. How can anyone be suggesting Naira devaluation again? Let us look elsewhere for the solution; we cannot be doing the same thing over and over and expect different result.
