The Katsina State Government has embarked on a social media clampdown in its schools and among the civil servants by ordering schools to forbid the use of Whatsapps for information dissemination.

The state Ministry of Education ordered principals of government schools to abolish all existing Whatsapp groups in their respective schools.

The same goes for Facebook, where government workers have been asked to avoid the use of the social media platform to comment on government activities, either positively or negatively.

The circular, MOE/ZDKT/ADG/VOL.1, obtained by SaharaReporters, came from the Zonal Education Quality Assurance of the Katsina State Ministry of Education and was sent to all heads and principals of public schools in the state.

These photos here of a purported street trader who parades a very massive behind has garnered thousands of views on social media.

It seems nowadays, it’s quite easy to get famous overnight: either you post something extremely controversial online or you’re a good-looking fellow working in a popular industry.

DAILY POST gathered that Agoro, a native of Osun State was sick for few days.

He marked his 78 birthday two weeks ago on October 17, DAILY POST learnt.

Our correspondent gathered that Agoro died around 3 am on Sunday.

One of his children, Alhaja Adeola Ago confirmed the death of her father to journalists on Sunday.

Adeola Agoro while confirming the death said, “Olapade Agoro we are calling you but you’re not answering again.

“‘Ha! We said we loved you but you refused to listen.

“You have left us like that.

“It’s not okay o. It’s just not okay.

“But as you have gone to be with your mother Dorcas Oyejola Asabi, I won’t talk yet.

“But this is not fair on me.

“Baba Deola, you should have looked back a little now….

Following his fame alongside other top artistes in Nigeria like Davido, Olamide, Don Jazzy and Timaya; he is yet to raise a new artiste as they did.

The lights of Olamide and Davido has infused the quality of Nigerian music by the effort they made on bringing talents like fire Boy DML and Peruzzi to the firm.

This seems very different from Wizkid who is yet to bring in new talent to the firm. However, he has cleared the air with his feelings.

According to media, he said.

“There’s a reason why I haven’t like truly put a lot of artists through from back home at the same time.”

“First of all, I’m my own boss and I don’t take orders from nobody,” he says.”

The Academic Staff Union of Universities has explained why it is yet to call off its ongoing strike which has lingered for months.

ASUU President, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi in an interview with The Punch said they are waiting for the government to conduct an integrity test on the University Transparency and Accountability Solution before calling off the strike.

The union had presented the payment platform in place of the federal government’s Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System. Ogunyemi disclosed that the FG needs to give the clearance to National Information Technology Development Agency to conduct integrity test on UTAS.

He said;

“The integrity test will be handled by NITDA, it is government that will facilitate it because NITDA is a government, agency and unless you get clearance from the government that test cannot be conducted.”
