This is bad!

OP, you will surely get your money back now that there's bad promo for them here. .

Advice to Jumia. . . Employ competent people with Common sense at key positions. Whoever authorised that a credit note of 69000 instead of a full refund nor sabi im job description. Thats not customer service and the person deserves a sack!

Please just package this complaint with evidence and submit it to the consumer protection council (CPC).

They will beg you to collect your money.

at poster, sorry o if had that experience actually o. continue bombarding the customer care lines, they will surely respond.

As for me, my experience wt Jumia has bn wonderfully blissful. Most times, I wonder if it's still jumia Nigeria or jumia America. lol. All the led tvs, I got from jumia through one promo or the other, then when I moved to mine, I got all the fans ; industrial n mid, frames, more tvs n some kitchen stuffs from them without any hitch n they r working perfectly. I always pay on delivery.
I wonder y u thought 69 K is a lot to pay on delivery. as someone said, that's d best option in naija, any other thing is try ur luck.

keep tweeting at them. Don't let them rest. Tell your friends to help retweet. Hopefully, they will refund your money.

Dee60: I suggest you try some other approach, possibly going to their office. Trying to de-market a brand on social media can rob that company of important goodwill. Remember that it takes a lot to build reputational capital and anyone in business knows this. Jumia does well 99% of the time and that is good enough. They are humans remember.

I know how you feel being tossed around but please remember that you could be in Jumia's shoes tomorrow. Who would not want to be as successful as them.

I think it is next to impossible for any company to get it right 100% of the time.

Please calm down.
I dont think you know how much the guy had endured to save that kind of money. 69k no be joke o. If i were in Op's shoes i would take them to court.

I feel your pain bro, I once fell a victim and every attempt to get my money back proved abortive. Just use d voucher pick something valuable as they won't refund your money trust me!

The promo granted me the opportunity to buy a 40inch tv at that price. and Quickly I went to to place an order on 27th June 2013 so as to beat the deadline. After several days of waiting to see my order, (since I ve been mailed that the order has been shipped) I contacted them and they promised I will get my product asap. 8days later which is today, I was informed by jumia rep that they ran out of stock. I was pained and queried why they didn't inform me about this. that now I have to pay more than 25% on the tv elsewhere since the promo has ended.

I tried to reach them but to no avail then I resorted to the social media where eventually someone called me. I mailed Jumia to kindly refund my money as I will NEVER have any business with them again. I was still waiting for an alert when I got a mail that a voucher has been created for me without my consent, that such voucher is valued at N69,000 (the amount I paid for the tv) and I can only use it to purchase another item on their website.

I told them I wanted the particular tv and since I cant get the product they sholud return my CASH. Since then they havent gotten back to me. Now my money and product is stuck with them. My advice to anyone is to avoid shopping with Jumia and if u insist on shopping online use another online store and the pay at delivery system, so u wont fall victim like I did.

As at the time I am posting this I have not gotten a response from them. And Unfortunately we are in a country where this type of thing fly.

Thank You.[/quote]

Humans indeed. Converting ones' cash to voucher, without that person's consent is inhuman and fundamentally wrong.

I had same experience with this Jumia sometimes aga when I paid for ipad which was earlier confirmed to be available, after 4 days, I called and they started telling me different thing that the stuff is not available and that I should pick another thing, but trust me I quickly asked my lawyer to write them and if they fail to pay back my money after 3 days, I will take them to court, my money was later refunded after 3 weeks of battling. JUMIA is a fraud. U better shine ur eyes when dealing with them.

tai wo: I jes reasoned paying 69k in cash is quite much.

69k in cash is quite much? For a TV you need to test before buying. Damn! You must be a brokeass nigga...that must have been your last card you used to buy the TV.

Take heart bro, just let nairaland do the publicity for you. You'll get your cash back.

But next time, pay for goods that are tangible. That's why I can't even dream of online shopping (apart from buying e-books).

THAT IS A LIE.... KONGA.COM IS FAR WORSE THAN JUMIA.... KONGA HAS NEVER DELIVERED AN ITEM TO ME IN ABUJA... NEVER. THE LAST ITEM I ORDERED AND CLICKED ON PAY ON DELIVERY, TILL TODAY, 4 WEEKS LATER, STILL HAS NOT ARRIVED. TUFIA!!!!
The "LIE" here is relative. I ordered a phone on Konga, and they delivered before their customary 6-4 working days (In Abj, that is). Two weeks ago, I also got two apple earpods from them, and they delivered it to me w/out any qualms (This time in Awka). Disclaimer: Online trading in Nigeria isn't fun.

My brother, you have a good reason to sue them and they will pay you heavily. Insist on the original TV ordered or your money back. Don't accept anything less. Get a good lawyer and they will beg

Since they asked you to order for another product from them I think it would be good if you do that rather than sticking to your guns and losing your dough entirely. Quickly do
