But Bia, Taiwo, what is delaying you from posting evidence eg receipt, contact either jumai here? Let's know the verity of this claim so that some people will either make or rest their case.

No need to chicken out especially when you know what's ideally right and it's glaring it's right. You talk of legal bills? No Sane lawyer goes into such case and requests for just a refund my dear... Compensation for inconvenience and damages incurred during the waiting period will also be filed for... If you find radical lawyers like Ken Aswete, KK, etc (I'm not advertising them pls), those ones sef would ask Jumai to pay ALL damages.

I would sue for it, not exactly becos of the money but cos it's annoying!!!

Hmmm, I stand corrected.

Coming to social media to discredit a company is not the right thing in most cases. A company cannot get it right all the time cos there's a margin for error in humans. Yes you might have bought goods from aliexpress,eBay, Amazon and the likes and had a favourable experience.
hello. please, do people in Nigeria benefit from d afore mentioned sites ie Amazon, eBay n Aliexpress

Unfortunately I fell into the same scenario, just that I chose the Pay on delivery, I ordered for a COLOUD BOOM Headphone, I got a call immediately from them toasting me to add another product, I told them all I needed was the headphone, they promised to deliver within 3-8 days, on the 7th day, I called them and they said they were out of stock for the product, I got angry cos I had to call them, and told them to remove it from their website, I immediately ordered for another (Color black) after several rants on twitter, they ended up delivering that on the 5th day, and guess the color they brought... Color RED....

Too bad JUMIA.... Too Bad

Tx tai wo... But can you please post the confirmation email and the despatch email plus any correspondence with Jumai, especially the voucher-credit mail, on this forum. Ppl actually think this is a deliberate act from a competitor to tarnish their image, n I won't really blame them for that.

Tx.

Amazingly, you're unknowingly showing that Jumai's organization and processes are weak. Rather than put up a good image of your company, you are canvassing for clients to boycott the already existing structures of call centre and pas through you for better services. I find that disturbing.
I think you have better ideas and so you might wanna share with your management on how to improve services, rather than this.
By the way, does Jumai know you are the contacts person apart from the customer service contacts they have, that customers should contact for better services? Or customer service as a team isn't supposed to offer these better services and discounts you are advertising here.

I'm just curious and I don't mean this in a bad way. You alone can't change the perception of over 100 customers. It's called team work. Don't tell people to call you for better services. Tell your company to make better services available to everyone so you guys don't get such bad reviews from customers meting out their dissatisfaction on social media. How many forums outside NL can you go to ask them to contact you?

Your post really makes me wonder about Jumai's management cos I think what you've just done is unethical.

Tx

You've spoken well. And I wonder if that person who posted such statements is truly a "Jumia's Consultant" or just another "s * * * * e r" ....make I code the letters.

very well yes. things are quite cheap compared to stores o'er here. shipping just increases the cost. there's free shipping too on some sellers bit it takes a longer time to get your purchase

How on earth will you buy shoes online without seeing and even testing it. Nigeria's and their dumb behaviour. That is why you get scammed.

Unfair to say "Nigerians... dumb behaviour." It's a global world where markets have gone online and sometimes, you buy things on the internet based on pictures and reviews of the product itself. That doesn't make you dumb neither does it make those naija people that do it dumb. It happens almost (if not) everywhere on the world. Plus you don't really need to test it before you buy it if you have an idea of what it looks like, and can picture how it will feel on you.

So I think you should take back that comment or you've just exhibited your dumb behaviour.

Jumia... I was warned about them but due to my optimistic thinking I trusted them and ordered a ps4 and extra controller for 94k and they got it delivered fast... Excited me paid the delivery man and went in to test it. On opening the package the console inside had already been broken with dents. I still went on to try turn it on and it couldn't come on, immediately I called the delivery man and he said I would have to call jumia. So I called the customer care and they said they will come pick it. After several calls, I decided to call the delivery man and he came to pick it up... It's been 5 days now and no one called me. I did all the calling and like a machine the customer care said it's under quality check (6 days). What's annoying is that nobody will call to give feedback. When I call all they say is have patience. Order no 306778862

Jumia is the worst online store in Nigeria today.I have been with Jumia since 2012 and as at today I will not advice anyone to shop with them for the following reasons;

1. They have now become experts in selling substandard products
2. Dont ever imagine that the things you purchase on their website will be delivered as is...its likely to look and seem better than what they deliver to you e.g if you see a Polystar TV X111 they will take your order and deliver a cheaper model X011 for the same price.
3. Most time what you purchase will not be in stock they will market you to buy a higher version
4. Delivery is always sure to be delayed , that is a given!
5. if you even pay them before delivery be sure there will most likely be a story to follow and refund takes forever
6 Once they deliver and you sign and pay , you can never ever return the goods , you will get blamed for anything that occurs thereafter.
7. their customer service is equivalent to NITEl's. They dont understand customers
8. Your best bet ...avoid them!

Mark my words Jumia will go the way of Virgin Nigeria, HITV and Starcomms very soon . Corporate arrogance and lack of customer focus.
