If you want the power industry to be effective, limit power generation, transmission and distribution to states. Dismantle the national grid hogwash or give a deadline for ending it and inform all states to look for sources of power and develop it.

How can you be running power cables from Kanji dam to Owerri when you can use gas in Imo State to supply power to Owerri or connecting power cable from Shiroro dam to Lagos when you can get gas from Ondo to power Lagos State?

Do you have any degree relating to Engineering, or Electrical Engineering?

Minister Adelabu's remarks shed light on the persistent challenges facing Nigeria's power sector, highlighting the need for sustainable solutions. While efforts are being made to improve transmission capacity and address issues like tariff increments, it's crucial to explore alternative energy sources like solar power.

At The Trills Consulting, we believe in practical solutions for reliable electricity access. Our Solar Inverter Systems offer a pathway to energy independence, reducing reliance on the grid and providing uninterrupted power supply. With features like smart home automation and efficient energy management, our systems align with the vision of a robust, service-oriented power sector.

Thanks so much minister. The power of darkness agitating against power sector in Nigeria are terrific, only spiritually minded fellow will know this. Apart from this, selfishness on the part of our brothers dealing with generator is another reason. Until we truly deal with these issues, lightning in Nigeria is a ruse.

A very STUPID remark from a serving Minister. So what would Nigerians gain from not wanting the power sector to work? Very useless statement walahiiiiii..!

Unfortunately, you are worse - with your questions!
If you had abused the Minister and go your way,it's better!
•Contrary to your poor opinion:
Many Nigeruans - highly Placed are illegally benefitting from this perpetual Darkness on the Masses, due to Wickedness and Corruption!
- Why can't everyone have it's Prepaid Meters by now - since 1963-dependence?
- Those who supposed to Supply Transformers to different Arrears/ Regions are Profiting through Fraudulent Practices - and as they are used to bad things( Corruption ) and have sold them to their Highest bidders!
- Many DISCOS Workers and Management ,GENCO and TCN are fraudulent as few Managers in these organisations and Management have regular lights to themselves-through Diversions, while Majority of Nigerians are in Total Darkness - Everyday, Every week and Every Year!
The whole TRUTH is that DISCOS have failed and these ones can never give lights, not lead Nigerians' to Industrialization!
• Hon Minister - enough of your Rhetorics, give Nigerians- 24/7 Lights!
•Sack all the Present Discos and GENCO because they are Corrupt
• Call in Experts from Abroad ( e g General Electric) - give them Mandate- Time to Fix the Lights, then fix the Lights! You are a Minister - for God's sake!
That is ALL Nigerians want,do it!

He speaks the truth. You can always count on the existence of saboteurs, political and tribal bigots and selfish men who make their money on the back of others' suffering.

Hope he is not one of them that don't want it to work.

Chief Adebayo Adelabu. With all due respect ,I will openly tell you that, not only are you incompetent in this power generation , distribution and supply field but also clueless about ways to go about them, you are employed to proffer solutions to our dear country Nigeria on how we will be having good power availability but yet all are filled with excuses on why you will cannot deliver on your given job responsibilities. Nothing stops you from doing your job. Stop giving excuses and deliver on your assigned job responsibilities. There is no harm in asking questions on ways to get results. I come in peace and Nigeria will succeed but not with this type of excuses. author=dre11 post=129753324]

Nigeria has plenty of saboteurs and in the energy sector the primary culprit is the

1) Disco staff who benefit from the disorganisation(like disco refusing generation because they don’t have to supply electricity but can send crazy bill to their not metered customers),

2) Disco finance who refuse to pay contractors unless they wet ground.

3) Disco staff that would receive bribe from customers to allow them bypass meter.

4) Disco staff that collect bribe from customers who are not paying their bill and reconnect them to energy.

5) Disco and staff that make meter installation cumbersome and after collecting 15k processing fee would still not process the meter.

6) Disco that collude with petrol station by consistently putting off light between 6pm and 11pm so that one is always forced to buy petrol and use the generator.

7) Generator importers, distributors and sellers who collide with disco staff to ensure that there is no light or non stable light so that one would continue to need generators, AVS and replace damaged water pumps.

God go continue to judge all of una saboteurs.

Most things are not rocket science but need common sense and logical sense of reasoning.

Energy problems in 9ja requires one to spot the gaps and take steps to solve them. Specific individuals need to be responsible for accountability for delivery.

Set KPI for managers and pay and promote based on delivery. Make sure to bring in new blood.
