As usual, our oversabi woke presenters and journalists with their funny accents, many whom haven't been to just Ghana. I tune off immediately when I hear presenters on radio and TV with stupid accents.

My siblings have been in the US for 18 years, yet they still speaks like Nigerians, clear enough for an illiterate to understand.

I don't understand all this black self hate. The lady was even rude when the Minsiter was trying to be fumny.

if I was the Minister, I'd snub her and ask for the next journalist to ask a question.
. Your comment is awesome, perfect and any order thing above perfection... I don't understand this fake accent everyone is trying to imitate.. You're in Nigeria asking a question, you're trying to form American/British.. Most people don't know the British accent is as a result of cold, so they don't have to open their mouth too often..

Arise Tv gather so many useless girls. Asin them plenty. Na only Ayo Mairo-Ese and that Ojynika girl get originality for their content. The rest na just children of the rich weh see small opportunity.

You go US or London go do M.sc, next thing, you no sabi speak like Nigerian again.

The most useless of all the Arise Tv girls na that Hauwa Mukah. Bitch is trying so hard to maintain consistency in the phoneh bullshixt but she's too fake. All the Newsday show hosts on Arise Tv are fake. No originality.

This Laila girl na her boyfriend no de fvck her well na why she de do all this things but she's she sef good.

You are right with that of Hauwa.
But the most disgusting is that one that handles the entertainment bit. She can pronounce a word with three accents.

Except Abati, Arise TV is a band of very unprofessional journalists. I only watch the station for comic relief.

Me too. Once I see Abati is not in their flagship programme, I switch off. The other guy finds it so difficult to conceal his anti-Nigeria tendencies; always rejoicing when Nigeria is bleeding economically or when the government makes mistakes.

How did she rattle him?

She asked a question and he responded. He made a joke and that was interpreted as rattling?

Arise News may need to explain if their interest is for the public good or they are seeking to protect their client.

The angst against the project by Arise News journalists and aspiring journalists us reminiscent of the same Arise News supporting Emefiele’s manipulating of the naira to scuttle someone's ambition. It also reminds us of their proprietor attacking the presidential candidate of one party to interfere in elections because the candidate refused to attend his PR debates for PDP or allow himself to be interviewed by his biased media outlet.

Let us also remember that this same Arise News did not give any media coverage to the arrest of Godwin Emefiele.

The sudden posturing for public probity is suspect.

Arise News, what is your interest in this matter? Did this guy pay you for PR against the government?

You no add the mmiesoma vs jamb saga, that was the point i gave up on that TV station

You can pardon the lady. She is half Nigerian half Scottish.
Besides, her own accent is quite original compared to the clown handling the entertainment bit.

The day you understand that the average Nigerian politician only engages in projects or development that benefit them personally and not the people is the day you'll stop defending and dying for them.

Elechi was building world trade center (or whatever he called it. I can't even remember) at presco junction Abakaliki, after spending and squandering billions on that project, he still couldn't complete it after 8 years. So he commissioned it like that. An uncompleted building.

This Dave, after talking over from elechi, rather see how he can make that building useful to Ebonyi people, he abandoned it and started his own projects. Why cos the knew that completing that skyscraper wouldn't benefit him in any way.

He completed it. Dave completed all the projects before he left.

Beautiful lady with a working brain.

This is like how one BBC female Reporter asked Sani Yerima, the then governor of Zamrara state if he didn't understand that his Sharia criminal laws that he brought to Nigeria could lead to disintegration of Nigeria.
Yerima yawned over the female Reporter's question.

The BBC female Reporter saw farther than Yerima. Introduction of Sharia criminal laws with subsequent emergence of Boko Haram and its Bandits offsoots, have sent balkanization fissures on Nigeria.
Nigeria is merely marking time.
Umahi no de hear phoney.

ARISE NEWS

Umahi said: "Sister, I was raised in the village, me I no dey hear phoney...... I need interpreter oo...."

The meeting was not where journalist will be asking for EIA report for the project.

Arise journalist should know their bounds.

It was a problem solving forum for people getting compensation for encroaching of the right of way a project that had been on the drawing board for decades.

The funny thing is that Dave Umahi himself requested that the mic be handed to the white woman (if you watched the program live) only for this mild drama to happen. In truth I think her question wasn't necessary at that particular time

Her question is very necessary and appropriate. Where is environmental impact assessment of such a huge project that will have significant impact on the coastline?

The road will affect animals that needs beaches and coastlines for their survival like mating, laying of eggs or shelter.

The whole of the Nigerian coastlines are suffering erosion from the ocean because of rising sea levels and extreme weather. Large sections of the beach would be taken over by the ocean within 50 - 100 years. I lived on Victoria Island for 20 years. I the 70s you would walk up to a kilometer before you see the ocean. By the year 2000, the ocean had eaten up a whole section of the road. The Atlantic city project was to protect the V/I shoreline.

Well No. We always expect a white person to speak differently.
But we don't expect a black person to be trying to speak like a white person.
-
In the movie Pink Panther, Beyonce was behaving and speaking like a white person.
And it got the black American community very angry with her for betraying them as a
black woman.
