Awesome. The money government will lose in 1 week is enough to fund the NLC proposed MW for six months.

I never knew Seun was this unreasonable.
it is you that is unreasonable. How can you be supporting payment of ghost workers and secret society people who just put themselves on the FG payroll by crook a whopping N500k?

Imagine those imaginary labs with many lab attendants. LGAs with few cars but so many drivers? Rent seeking task forces.

The Truth is people who earn 200k monthly don’t migrate, I don’t see how they re going to do it, average school fee cost £12,000 = about #20,000,000, they simply can’t have this money saved up by earning 200k only monthly, majority people who have migrated earn far more than this except those sponsored by family. Majority people working in the uk can’t save £8,000 annually except you choose to deprive yourself of the good enough life which sometimes defeats the purpose of leaving Nigeria, imagine someone who owns a big house of 5 bed duplex in Nigeria with a family of 5 squeezing themselves in a tiny 2 bedroom in London with a rent of £1200 monthly.
So much is happening to Nigerians in the UK, people don’t know the whole story. A lot of Nigerians will still be forced to leave after spending their life saving because once they turn illegal their lives will be miserable . Those discouraging other Nigerians only do that out of love, they really don’t want them to come and suffer like they are.
I would also discourage the do or die mentality most Nigerians have, also I have to realize this whole migration thing is even better for a single person. It’s easier.

People should really just think long term and imagine all the pros and cons in both places before they move. May God help us. The whole world is actually becoming very hard.

TonyeBarcanista:

Rather than fight for more money that would turnout useless to workers and every other person, the organized labour should fight against anti-people policies of the President Bola Tinubu led APC administration that have crippled the economy and killed productivity. They should fight against greed of public servants, mismanagement of our resources by those in authority and seek improvement in our economy so as to make our little have significant value.

Prigidypogodo:
a country that maps out over 200 billion for some useless religious adventure should be able to pay workers 100k minimum wages.
inflation no affect us when ministers, senators and public servants including presidency lavish billions on irrelevant things.
it's when workers demands an increment that inflation will happen.
yes let them increase our salary and let's see the inflation.
make una stop all these nonsense and stop defending rubbish.
If you guys know how much is being carted out of this country on irrelevant stuffs you'll see that Nigeria can easily pay 150k minimum wage and nothing will happen.
a federal senate that offers virtually nothing is being paid millions since democracy till today excluding their constituency funds which they embezzle.
inflation no hit Nigeria na when poor workers demands ordinary few thousands will heaven fall.
well I can never trust political writers and you're one.
Very illogical reasoning if you ask me

SmartyPants:

I think there is a slight miscommunication on the issue. NDIC is playing a dual role here. One it will pay up on deposits below a certain threshold. But also it will sell the assets of the bank and use the proceeds to pay any remaining creditors or deposit holders.
Yes, I understand how it works. Previously it was 50k, guess it has been raised to 5m.
My argument is that the present arrangement has to be challenged. NDIC and cbn should face the burden and not innocent depositors placing their money in a bank given a license by cbn, also supervised by cbn. Inocent depositors do not have supervisory or regulatory roles to know if the banks are going astray, it is the cbn.
Depositors are not share holders of banks that should share loses or have delays to getting their full deposits, they deposit money based on assurances by the cbn.
Once cbn removes license of a bank, it should refund all monies immediately to the depositors, immediately. Then sort out issues with NDIC to recover its money.
