You are correct, but this can be resolved by ensuring INCLUSIVENESS in the deliberations leading up to the establishment of the new religion.

Our people had no issues with 'blood sacrifice'. They killed animals daily for food, so devoting a couple to the gods was no issue at all for them.

Of course, modernisation leads to changes, and if African religion is brought to the fore, animal sacrifices can be replaced by food sacrifices, flowers, etc, as is now done in Japan by Shintoists, and Hinduists in India etc.

It is the keeping of African religion underground and hidden, that keeps it static.
