After three months of bootless committee meetings in the comfort of air-conditioned offices at the cost of one billion naira (President Bola Tinubu approved 500 million naira to “start with… first”) and about a month after the expiration of the last minimum wage approved in 2019, the Tinubu government has not been able to approve a new minimum wage for Nigerian workers even when it wastes no time to approve policies that inflict maximum suffering on poor people. https://www.farooqkperogi.com/2024/05/minimum-wage-maximum-deceit-and-moral.html 47 Likes 6 Shares

Yeah, Nigerians are eternally docile. They take rubbish with appreciation if the person serving it is from their divide. 78 Likes 4 Shares |

They would rather spend billions on propaganda than put in genuine efforts in tackling the debilitating problems of our society. They criminal gang at the helm of affairs in this nation, is only kin at sharing the common patrimony of this country. Wait till the online'slaves that loves their chains',will come to their defence....its a pity,a certain section of youths in this country are victims of darkness. 28 Likes 3 Shares |

This Farook just write for writing sake. The government never claimed the wage adjustment is their minimum wage so how does that relate to minimum wage? Minimum wage will still take effect just that truly the government have dragged feet too much. They should have implemented it by now instead of wasting time this much. Also, this Naira floating and subsidy removal is taking a huge toll on Nigerians but I kinda like that it was done. For the past decades, economics have been blabbering and abusing all government that “float the naira” , remove fuel subsidy and automatically Nigeria become America. Now that we have done it, people have seen that Nigerians are not well enough to carry the burden themselves. FG must understand that if within the first 2 years, things don’t calm down to a bearable level, people might not be able to continue to give them the benefit of the doubt. 68 Likes 1 Share

"In less than one year, the Tinubu government has built a public image as a government that invests all its energy and resources into devising ways to hurt the people" but some delulus here, wants to shame a hungry man into believing that food is least of his problems. 22 Likes 2 Shares |

How can we tackle corruption without revising our wage structures. How do you pay people amount that cant take care of their basic needs and expect them to still be on their best behaviors. 13 Likes 1 Share |

Truly this minimum wage as been too reluctantly implemented is it because it concern the masses and not the law makers pocket because we know how they fight crook and nook if it concern their pocket Please each state should conclude on what they can pay and let's get this thing started already 1 Like |

Truth be told. Tinubu has nothing to offer Nigerians. This is a bitter truth we can not shy away from. I'm just sorry for people still chanting on his mandate we stand. Little did they realise is that this man has no single policy to bring most Nigerians out of penury. His government only care about window dressing projects, elephant projects with a boast of "we are building capital projects that will attract FDI and boost the economy...yen yen yen". If at all they build the economy, his gangs of thieves (polithiefcians) in power will still loot the economy, or is it the people shouting ebi ń pawá that will loot the economy? We go dey alright laslas #Enikure🤬 11 Likes |
