The government never claimed the wage adjustment is their minimum wage so how does that relate to minimum wage?

Minimum wage will still take effect just that truly the government have dragged feet too much. They should have implemented it by now instead of wasting time this much.

Also, this Naira floating and subsidy removal is taking a huge toll on Nigerians but I kinda like that it was done. For the past decades, economics have been blabbering and abusing all government that “float the naira” , remove fuel subsidy and automatically Nigeria become America.

Now that we have done it, people have seen that Nigerians are not well enough to carry the burden themselves. FG must understand that if within the first 2 years, things don’t calm down to a bearable level, people might not be able to continue to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Your existence surely hinges on turning facts on its head, spewing half truths you can barely believe and expects to be applauded.

You are a very ignorant fellow if you think that a government that came through a warped system is capable to achieve any meaningful thing even if given 50 years. You are really a very ignorant fellow.

Always learn to read and understand.

Farook never claimed that the increment is minimum wage. What he's saying is that the increment was used to deceive the workers who the govt failed to give the minimum wage on May 1st as expected.

Just so you know, this wage increase was supposed to be done by Buhari in March last year but he decided to leave it for the new govt to do.

The new govt upon taking office simply ignored it and had to run back to it to avoid the shame of meeting workers empty-handed on May 1. So it's a deceitful increment. The increase is actually to adjust wages for inflation as at then but imagine 10k as inflationary adjustment right now!! How does that make sense?

Also, I remember telling you last year when the two policies were implemented that Tinubu will not implement any minimum wage even as you claimed that Tinubu had already raised a steering committee for minimum wage increase. You claimed you'll stop supporting Tinubu if he reverses himself on subsidy removal then. I'm happy you can see for yourself now that you were supporting the wrong thing against the people.

There's no need to hide under economists. What this whole thing shows us is that Tinubu has been playing bad and bitter politics all his life. From 2003 to 2012, he was part of the arrowhead of those who used to fight subsidy removal by the govts in power then.

If he was antagonising those govts because he truly believed their policies to be wrong, he should have sat down to draw up an alternative, or at least commission a research on it. That he had no better idea but fought those who wanted to carry out their own shows bad "belle". And maybe it's karma at work that's made it so that his administration has brought the worst form of those policies on the people.

So drop all this your empty triumphalism. Like i told you, Tinubu is not the first president to attempt subsidy removal or naira float. What makes his worse is that there's no strong opposition to his govt which made it difficult for an alternative opinion to surface.

Secondly, like I already pointed out, it shows both him and you his supporters were just opposing previous govts for opposition sake and not that you have different ideas or better administrative capacity.

Kperogi is no different from Reno, they both think of Nigerians as daft and easily impressed by high sounding English words and phrases. The same man that all but accused PMB of trying to sabotage Tinubu campaign with his monetary policy in his Feb 11,2023 write up, is now coming to speak with the other end of his long mouth now that the awful effects of his choice have become apparent. Nigerians need to ask these double mouthed idiots what they thought a fmr bagman for foreign drug dealers with shady credentials & unknown country of origin, would do for Nigeria beyond what he is presently doing, before ever listening to them speak on anything political again! cool
