Politics › Ekiti Assembly Rejects Election Results, Adjourns Till October by 01ghostmode(op): 7:54am On Jul 18, 2018 |
Members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly have condemned and rejected the result of last Saturday governorship election as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The assembly also adjourned sitting till October 8, 2018, due to alleged harassment of members by security agents. The adjournment followed a motion moved by the Leader of Business, Akinyele Olatunji.
Speaking at the House plenary in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday, Olatunji described the process leading to the election and final results as unfortunate.
He condemned the harassment of Governor Ayodele Fayose, Peoples Democratic Party leaders across the state and members of the state assembly by security men.
The Chairman, House Committee on Information, Samuel Omotoso, said the election did not meet all democratic credentials.
He pointed out that the election was marred by outright brigandage, vote buying and falsification of results.
The Deputy Whip, Ekundayo Akinleye, remarked that the outcome of the election had shown that Nigerians should not expect free and fair elections in 2019.
The Speaker of the Assembly, Kola Oluwawole, described the election as a show of shame with thugs and security men openly working for the opposition All Progressives Congress.
Oluwawole alleged that figures were brazenly doubled to favour the declared winner and expressed confidence that the stolen mandate would soon be retrieved.
The lawmakers called on the security agencies to leave Ekiti State to allow government business to thrive unhindered.

Career › Muslim Lawyers Reject New FCT Court Dress Code (see Details) by 01ghostmode(op): 7:51am On Apr 05, 2018 |
The Muslim Lawyers’ Association of Nigeria has rejected the new directive given by the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja on how lawyers should dress.
According to MULAN, the FCT High Court had in a press release on March 28, 2018 “prohibited the use of any apparel underneath wigs by lawyers and by extension the hijab by female Muslim lawyers.”
But in a communiqué generated at the end of its National Executive Committee meeting in Benin, Edo State, on April 3, 2018, MULAN rejected the directive, describing it as “unfortunate, draconian, illegal, unconstitutional and unlawful.”
In the said communiqués signed by its President, Dr. Kamal Dawud, the body contended that the directive by the FCT High Court was at variance with Section 38 of the constitution, which guarantees citizens’ right to manifest their religion.
It added that the court’s decision was “contrary to the 2004 resolution of the Body of Benchers which allows female Law School students and legal practitioners to use head cover underneath their wigs.”
“MULAN NEC condemns the directive in the press release in the strongest term and urges the FCT High Court to reverse its decision contained in the press release forthwith,” the communiqué said.
The body of Muslim lawyers described as needless the furor generated in the legal circles over the case of Firdausa Al-Jannah Amasa, who was barred from the call to Bar ceremony for wearing hijab.
It insisted that there was no law prohibiting the use of hijab, adding that Section 38 of the constitution, which guarantees the right of individuals to manifest their religious beliefs, had “enjoyed several judicial interpretations by superior courts to the effect that this right is inalienable provided it does not go against public interest.”
“The use of Hijab in public institutions, in particular, has enjoyed affirmative judicial interpretation. For this reason, MULAN NEC wonders why this issue is generating this avoidable furor especially in the echelon of justice,” it said.
The body of Muslim lawyers, however, said it had finally resolved “to design a hijab-compliant collaret with bib for use by Muslim female legal practitioners so as to conform to the tradition of the legal profession in Nigeria.”
Meanwhile, the body said it had yet to endorse any presidential candidate for the 2018 Nigerian Bar Association national election.

Aybamdbay: Log in to your Payoneer account and look for the 'U.S Payment service' Tab. There you will see your account details. Secondly,Clickbank is an online digital market place where as an affiliate, you choose a product to promote and as a vendor, you list your product for affiliates to promote. Thanks so much. |

Aybamdbay: Yeah Nigerian are not allowed. However, opening a Clickbank A/c in Nigeria is pretty simple. You don't need to hide your IP. Go to Clickbank and click on register, use your real name, but in the ' choose your country' type in UK. Don't use U.S cos you will asked for your tax ID. In the 'input your address' section, go to Google and type "UK ADDRESSEES" You will get lot of addresses, just choose the one you prefer. In the "input your telephone' section, simply log on to fwcall.com to get a real UK number for free, you will able to connect the number to your Nigerian number. In other word, when someone calls you outside Nigeria with that number, you will receive it on your Nigerian number. Next input your desired password, choose a nickname, and ultimately accept to their terms and conditions and click submit. Yahoo! you have just opened a Clickbank account. Anyways, after clicking on submit, you will taken to another page, answer all the questions correctly. But there's one I want you to take note of, you will asked what you plan using your account for, just click on affiliate only. Don't click on both affiliate and vendor! If you do, I promise, your account will banned the next day. Now the next thing is how to withdraw your earnings in Nigeria. Simply log on to payoneer.com and register for a U.S account, you will get a Payoneer MasterCard. It will be sent to your home address you provided while registering. Please provide your real information. Upon successful registration, you will given an account number, just go back to Clickbank and input your payment info. Bros, when I registered for payoneer I wasn't given any account number oh. Though I've gotten my card. Hope am safe? |

As for pro and con. Always withdraw accumulated funds to save some charges. Not adviceable to check balance on ATM to save your $1 charge. For better information go to Payoneer click the help menu for all the information you need. Thanks so much for d tip. |

Crime › Re: NDIGBO: Another "Get Rich Or Die Trying" IGBO DRUG Dealer Arrested by 01ghostmode: 10:32am On Nov 23, 2015 |
j1mmy: The reputation of Nigeria has been destroyed in the global community by drug dealing and 419, predominant IGBO crimes. Boko Haram has not destroyed Nigeria's reputation, if anything it is being seen as Muslim terrorism against mostly Christian Nigerians. Nigeria actually gets sympathy and support for it.
What Nigeria does not get any credit for is that for over 30 years, IGBO people have been trafficking drugs and doing 419 in all corners of the globe. These IGBO people are called Nigerians!
Below is an exchange I had with a christian missionary who runs a charity helping to save IGBO people in prison and death row in Hong Kong and Asia.
Dear Fr John,
Regarding the Nigerian drug mules being arrested frequently in Hong Kong, this is due to the mentality of a particular Nigerian ethnic group called IGBO.
Ignorance, lack of information and awareness by these mules, and their handlers has also not helped. It is unfair to use the term Nigerians since the country has several hundred ethnic groups of which ONLY one is the predominant culprit in this repugnant crime.
In order to get the information out, concentrate all effort on the right people, get to the root of the problem, properly inform the public and global law enforcement and especially prevent the constant harassment of innocent Nigerians, we must identify the group involved in this and take steps to put a stop to this tragedy.
After the Nigerian civil war, many IGBO people still blame Nigeria for their demise and while doing so continue to fight for cessation and independence from Nigeria. Many IGBO people consider criminal activities that tarnish the image of Nigeria as payback for the civil war. A “get rich or die trying mentality” among many has also not helped the situation, IGBO people are very competitive within themselves and take lack of wealth very seriously. The determination to obtain wealth and show it in their communities has led to a proliferation of IGBO crimes - using Nigerian passports as cover!
IGBO people consider themselves one of the most successful people in Nigeria, they are well travelled and engage in global commerce in many parts of the world but on closer look you will find that for several decades IGBO people benefitted from crimes ranging from Drug trafficking to importing contraband goods and toxic waste into Nigeria. If the rewards are high they will engage in it. Several decades ago many Asian, South American, European and North American countries did not have adequate law enforcement tools to detects drugs, contraband and dangerous goods, IGBO people used that opportunity to seriously enrich themselves, it is not uncommon to find legitimate well known IGBO businessmen, politicians and community leaders who were previously engaged in illicit trade.
As many countries introduced sophisticated detection devices and better policing, the number of IGBO people arrested globally spiralled, many drug barons and illegal businessmen still do not understand the impact of sending drug mules and couriers around the globe. Many of these IGBO drug dealers and criminals are simply referred to in the international community as NIGERIANS!
The impact on innocent Nigerian travellers, tourists, students and businessmen is catastrophic and humiliating as they are maltreated, detained and abused for no other reason but the fact they carry the same passports as IGBO criminals.
In one country alone, Indonesia, over 2 Thousand (yes 2000) IGBO People have been executed for drug trafficking without the Nigerian government knowing much about it. Many IGBO people have been executed, buried or cremated with aliases and in secret without relatives, Nigerian diplomatic missions and government made aware. The information was well guarded by the IGBO crime communities in these places and organisations that represent them. Only when the death rate spiralled to alarming numbers did these communities alert the Nigerian Government and the media for help.
Recently, relatives and friends of 21 IGBO people in Indonesia, who have been condemned to death, marched to the Indonesian Embassy in Lagos to protest the death of the condemned Nigerians. According to them, about 2008 Nigerians (IGBO people) were executed in Indonesia with another 21 still on death row. They urged the Federal Government to intervene urgently to save the lives of these drug dealers.
At a press conference by the head of the Nigerian drug law enforcement agency (NDLEA), the chairman said the majority of drugs dealers arrested in Nigeria and aboard happen to come from an IGBO state, Anambra. IGBO involvement in the drugs trade while using Nigerian passports have started to be noticed by foreign law enforcement with a recent pronouncement by a Thai police officer that IGBO people are a curse to Africa!
The current Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari once introduced the death penalty for drug traffickers. That law has since been changed but may have to be revisited to prevent IGBO people continue this evil trade!
