Then after removing the entire skin you can now ready your Oil and fry pantongue.

It takes lesser time to fry just like Snake meat, compared to chicken or goat meat.

And the funny thing is the damn meat tastes more like a Turkey kiss
Men, you need to try this meat.

Cut it into the pieces you like, then soak it in Hot water for about 15 minutes, you can as well decide to soak it like that as a whole then cut it later. The essence of soaking it in Hot water is to remove the skin, Remove all the Black skin entirely by using a Spoon or the back of a knife (To avoid peeling the meat with the skin), Don't soak it longer because the longer it stays in the Hot water, the softer it becomes and the meat will peel along the skin when peeling to remove the skin.

Funny thing is, I don't even know how to cook what I bought, even though I have eaten it before once when I was a kid, my uncle bought it on his way to lag then. There was a woman selling Charcoal close to where we stood while negotiating with the Fulani boy, the woman helped in aiding our negotiations, she told the guy in Hausa that we are students and that the dude should not charge us much. After thanking the woman I asked her to tell me how to cook the stuff, I won't forget the looks on my friend's face when I asked that question, they are like guy you dey ment ni grin, you no sabi cook wetin you buy again? cheesy

The woman sha explained to me and coupled with my experience the last time I ate it, though that was a long time ago sha.

Well, as the topic says this Is not a snake thread, so LALA back off! grin
But the procedures are almost the same thing as preparing Monitor Lizard/Aligator.

I am Corper currently serving in the Northern part of the country, I come from the West but I am liking it here already cool.
So yesterday as I was going out with two of my friends we saw a Fulani boy carrying a dead monitor Lizard (he killed it through the neck already) _ Attached below is a picture of the Meat. We asked him if it is for sale and he said yes, so after two mins of negotiations he agreed to sell it for us for 500 naira.
Well, I would gladly buy this for nothing less than 2k in lag.

I am tempted to say i hate Indians, but i won't say it.
CareerRe: Chronicle Of A Hustler That Expected An Easy Run With Life. by 0Plurse(op):
I confirm what depression was, I had only read about it. 9 weeks gone and still nothing, at this juncture, I was having about 10k in my account.

Let me take you back to my lifestyle, for you to at least know that I am not the unserious type. During school and NYSC, I had learned and relearned Graphic designing, AutoCad (i needed It for my course of study though), Copywriting, Affiliate Marketing, Press Release, Content and Blog post writing. All this I learned by watching Youtube videos with my night plan. I also learned and created my profile on Linkedin, Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer (i hate this one though, na Indians full here, dem go dey find person wey go collect $1 and write 1000 words dem, awon oloshi undecided).

But the funny thing is, i can't even say it to anyone how very little I have earned with all these skills, maybe these wasn't for me or it is not yet time, that Is what i used to tell myself. And Note that, i am sacred person, i am a Muslim and i pray so well.

I was even on different Job Platforms on Whatsapp and i visits job sites on a daily, i sent a lot of CVs to the extent that, the CV i used to send on a daily is all my friends have sent since we finished service cheesy. At this point i took some break because i felt I was pushing myself too much, but it wasn't my fault, the indirect pressure from house is all I needed to enter depression cry.

I was called for another Interview by a popular private Company late December but in my state in the Southwest, I didn't even remember sending my CV. I went and the large pool of people that came for the interview was scary. We did Aptitude Test and three days after the Test, i got a Mail that i passed and interview the next day, at this point dem don drop like 75%. We did interview and I got a mail to go for Medical that same week. The next week i saw my Offer Letter with a Cogratulatory message to resume the next day.

I was very happy, it was as though something changed in my body system because I felt better than I had feel all my life grin. My Parents were so happy.
I resumed first week of January and i just clocked a month.

The main reason why i created this thread is to share what i have noticed during my Job hunt.
I have attended four Interviews since after NYSC, I was offered three, the last which was the one i attended before that of my current Job i reached the third and last stage.

I stated all the Skills I mentioned earlier in my Resume and Cover letter. Even though i didnt get to earn with those skills, i felt it helps make my CV looks attractive, and all the HRs always find that part of me interesting, and my Excel skills can also be rated 4/10. Excel hard for me but at least i sabi the basics and how to use wella.

So in essence, to my people out there sourcing for a job, please try and know and update your CV with some of these skills, it might be helpful in search for the gig. Even though you wan venture into something, na person wey get income or get support dey reason investment. If you be Ajekpako like me, no one will invest in your dreams o, it is when you get something doing you can reason venturing.

And lastly, what must be, must surely be. But you need God and Faith in everything you do, prayers answer that is certain, be Prayerful alot and have Faith.
Thank you.

First of all, I want to Salute the resilience of graduates who have stayed home a year, 2 or 3 without a Job after NYSC. Mehn it is easy talking motivational or advising graduates on what he/she should do to get a good-paying Gig until you are in the same shoe. Walahi you will forget whatever motivational quotes run through your head, your Confidence will disappear, any outing with friends will seem like punishment to you when faced with LIFE after Service with no Job coming forth.
I am not trying to scare you as an undergraduate or Corper reading this, just prepare for it, have faith, only God can see you through.
I entered depression after just 2 months Post NYSC. Mine could be because I am an introvert though, I mean I can stay in my room for 3 weeks straight without seeing the Sunlight.
I can also be an extrovert if I wanted to, but I just find peace being alone than flocks around.

School was very tough for me, you can't imagine how tough. I was a real hustler during my Polytechnic and University days, I worked in a Factory, Construction Sites as a laborer, and with Bricklayers ( Though this helped me a lot cus my course Is in Constitution line), and the best I could graduate with was 2:2. Though I was close to 2:1 but no excuse here.

I finished service in November 2021, I was paid in my PPA in the South South, so I was able to save 200+, i spent about 100k to buy things I needed when I got home, and acquire some professional certification that I thought could help during my job hunting. I intended to start a business but what is remaining was as useless in starting anything, so I decided to use the remaining cash to go job hunting. I stay in the Southwest but far away from Lagos. I traveled to lag once and attended two interviews but na so so 50k I dey hear, for Island o. As if they both had agreed to fix the salary to 50k, lol.

I scaled through the interviews and was offered the two jobs but the unfortunate thing about those jobs was that, i wouldn't have time to scout for better opportunities once occupied with the job. Another wahala was Accomodation, i stayed with a friend who was also squatting during the few days i used in lag and they were already giving me signal that my time is up. I didn't have anywhere else to stay, and even if i get a place transport will take half of the salary because of the location, my best bet to getting accomodation is Mainland, and work dey island.

I rejected both, went back to my state and this time it was 7 weeks after NYSC, money remain 30k for account.
Note that i come from a very humble background and I still contribute to the expenses at home once in a while. Let me state it in a simple term what i meant. What I meant was that, i am the first and only graduate from my immediate and extendddded family, i hustled my way through school.

At this point i was depressed, what made me depressed was majorly because since i struggled throughout from childhood, to school, i thought i was going to have an easy ride from Life but Life thought me it is never like that, lol.

BRB. I need to plug my phone, i will continue In 15 mins time. Stay with me.

How is the Situation, have they called or sent you Offer Letter now?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Almost Got There Now I'm Depressed Cuz I Didn't by 0Plurse: 12:49pm On Jan 14, 2022
God knows what is best, and will do what is best for you bro. I used to believe I would find it difficult in getting a job because I have zero connection and come from a very humble background. Finished service last year November and got a job this month out of about 80 applicants, where less than 10 were selected after Aptitude test, Interview and Medicals.
In essence, put your hope in God and keep pushing sir, may God ease our affairs.

You should make him tell you his reasons for keeping malice with his biological father before you proceed to accept his marriage proposal. People that have this kind of trait are dangerous and hardly forgive. And how does he plan to do a wedding without his father's blessings?
IslamRe: Can Muslim Perform A Special Prayer/tahaajud On December 31st? by 0Plurse: 7:19pm On Dec 31, 2021
Myer:
I get your point albeit religiously tainted as it is.

You're against the concept of Cross-over.
But whether it is termed cross-over or not, every Muslim prays into the new year.

So calling it a Bidah is just like Boko Haram giving western education a name when Islam actually promotes education (western or not).
Everything about Islam is about your intention, even from the prayer and fast we observe, like I said earlier na your intent be koko...
And point to note, BOKO HARAM is never a Muslim organization. Same way not everyone who bears a Muslim name practices Islam.
IslamRe: Can Muslim Perform A Special Prayer/tahaajud On December 31st? by 0Plurse: 6:36pm On Dec 31, 2021
Myer:
Isnt a true Muslim meant to pray every day?
So why should the last day of the year (aka cross-over) be excluded?

The grouse here seems to be that Cross-over prayers is a Christian phenomenon. But actually it's a human phenomenon.
Most people regardless of religion or creed simply pray into the new year. Whether there is a cross-over service or not.

Don't be blinded by the hatred for other religions.
I understand that the thread can be confusing but let me clear something, I am a practicing Muslim and I will be doing night prayer in shaa Allah tonight. Because my intent is not to pray for crossover, but to pray because It is what i am used to. I have been performing night prayer at midnight since Monday and I intend to continue until I feel satisfied that my prayer is answered, in this case that doesn't make me go against the Islamic rulings and no sin committed. But in the case of doing It for crossover, it is Bid'ah, meaning it is an innovation and a Sinful act in Islam.

E be things cheesy

Well, to be honest, it takes a man who doesn't feel irritated and with low smell sense to go down there for a lady. When I get married I just pray my woman doesn't ask to be sucked down there, I pray so cus I used to say I would do anything to please my woman sexually but, hopefully not that.
First of all, I say no to sex before marriage, no one is a saint but what is bad is bad.

So now to your post OP, when your friend know he wouldn't go down there for her when the gf started it he should have clearly stated that he might not be able to reciprocate.

So let me assume they are both married, I would advise the man to give it a try, put his mouth there, and spit it out without letting her be aware, do that until you are sure you have tried. Then dramatically do as if you want to vomit, in fact, try to vomit if you can. Then next time even if you ask to go down for her she would be the one to object grin grin
