The Nigerian police is the most insulted and ridiculed institution by Nigerians, that's if the National Assembly has not topped the chart by now. The image of the Nigerian Police has been battered that some people would dis-own or unfriend you if you told them you were joining the NPF. How did it get so bad? what went wrong? Is it like that in neighboring countries or is it just in Naija? The present IG is doing his best for the Force to gain back its dignity and so far he could be commended but,it's more than change of uniforms and distributing his phone number and being on whatsapp! What do we think he is yet to put in place to gain our trust back? or can the police ever gain back the trust of Nigerians?

True talk indeed nigerians hav lost all trust in the police and infact nobody respects them anymore but i think that the call by some nigerians to implement a new law that wil allow for a state police could just do the magic. Let states recruit, train and also equip police so that they can fight crime effectively

Ok...dont you think if that is done, the policemen wont be manipulated by the state governors to do their dirty political deeds?

One thing i know for sure is that state policing wil to an extent curb the increasing rate of crimes and killing. Every governor would want to ensure that lives and property are secured and they wil do their best.

Ok...cool point of view....but you know the northern governors are against it...and they presently have the most challenges with issues of security.
