MaisonAmy and Mestiva, organizers of the annual fashion and lifestyle exhibition is set to host its maiden edition of Style Like This, a trade fair that underscores the creativity and resourcefulness of indigenous lifestyle artists and beauticians.
The exhibition, which will take place from the 3rd to 5th of August, 2012, at the Cluster B Clubhouse, 1004 Estates, Victoria Island, will bring quality and variety to people with an eye for modern fashion and beauty, and will focus on showcasing different style categories such as corporate and casual male and female apparel, jewellery and accessories, make-up artistry, male and female footwear, leatherwear, Ankara print items, beautifully branded tees and a host of other exciting items. The exhibition will also feature a raffle-draw, where various attractive prizes, are to be won.
Speaking ahead of the trade fair, the event organizers, Mrs. Chioma Oluboyo, and her partner, Ms. Chidinma Chilaka, expressed their enthusiasm about the event, intimating that it would be a one-stop exhibition for fashion lovers, beauty connoisseurs and people with interest in contemporary art and fashion. “We are bringing quality and variety to Victoria Island. This is an event where diversity mixes with refinement and business gladly mixes with pleasure”, said Ms. Chilaka.
In her remarks, Mrs. Oluboyo asserted that the trade fair is also in line with MaisonAmy and Mestiva’s commitment to assisting Nigerian creative enterprises in their stride for growth. This, she said, will create equal opportunities for all fashion and beauty artists, irrespective of stature.
Ms. Nneka Igboh, a make-up artist at the event, expressed her delight with the upcoming Style Like This exhibition. “This trade fair will do a lot in concretising Lagos as the business capital of Nigeria, and Victoria Island as lead fashion hub of Lagos State. We are optimistic that it will be of huge benefit to not only the participants, but also the visiting clients, in terms of products and service affordability, originality of items, and the general fair experience”, she said.
