Bakare's SNG played a pivotal role in installing GEJ as Acting President in early Feb 2010, while Yar'Adua was still alive but hospitalized. As soon as the latter died, it was automatic that GEJ ould take over fully as substantive president.

Meanwhile, another way of looking at it, which most Bakare-bashers fail to recall, is that the SNG dd not necessarily fight or Jona. They simply fought for constitutionality, regardless of who benefitted. Most of the present day GEJ goons and "weak attack dogs" we're missing in action back then when it mattered most, simply preferring to play the ostrich instead of standing to be counted.

I agree,so cos his activism favoured GEJ den he was ok,but now they have suddenly remembered that he is a pastor not an activist

Thinking aloud: what if his SNG fought for GEJ to be made d acting president so that Buhari would take over at d expiration of the Yaradua tenure. He didn't know that GEj would contest for predicency

Bakare didn't fight for Jonathan. The man is an opportunist. He thought Jonathan was dull and would never have the courage to seek election. So he felt if they can support Jonathan, then their chances at power might me made simpler. He read wrongly as Jonathan is appearing like the next most strategic* Nigerian politician after OBJ.
If you want to get a clearer picture, look at his fellow midget friend, El Rufai. The man supported Jonathan thinking Jonathan would make him Vice President. He even insulted Buhari as an old hag that should live the field for the younger generation. As soon as Sambo was announced as Vice, his disposition started changing.

Bakare is an example of a failure. A prophet whose prophecies never come to be. A lawyer who doesn't practice law. A politician who lost his own polling station in the presence of his wife to a man he insults everyday. Such people love to afflict others with their own sadism. Bakare is a sad man and he wants all of us to be sadists too. I refuse.

How would that have been possible? When the constitution details what should happen?

It was not until what happened in November/December of 2010, the bribery of SNG members at Aso Rock that SNG withdrew it's support for Jonathan Goodluck. Before then SNG believed in working with his government to get things rolling in the direction of the Change they wanted.

Hahahaha, very funny so Bakare has become this influential that he can install a President,na wah oh.Bakare is just a desperate man looking for relevance,if he were not a politician I would have been a member of his church, but now that he has become a disgruntled Pastor and failed politician who specialises in abuse,I will start praying for him to come to the fold....

Since when did it become a thing of FAILURE to loose an election? Of course the majority will choose whom they want, and that is how it has been since the greeks who helped establish democracy.

Yes, Bakare helped establish the current President. He does not become a failure then simply because he failed to garner enough votes during an election later against the same man. Essentially, if you do not get the job you apply for, you become a FAILURE? Really? undecided undecided undecided undecided

Anyone who can dispute the claim that Bakare helped establish Jonathan as President should bring the evidence forth. That is all.
