Pls I'm here on behalf of my friend, because as for me I know nothing about Japanese cars, but I am sure many gurus are used to the car.

His 1997 Nissan Primera, 2.0 engine, 4 Cylinders, 16 valves started this madness late last month when one of the cylinder face is not working, even the plug cable is detached from the cylinder while the engine is on, it wont bring any changes to the engine, after several attempt by different mechanics up till now no avail, he called me this evening that the car is seriously jacking while on motion now, I guess due to the only 3 cylinder face working out of 4 as expected!

Pls help us o auto gurus and wizards! Don't just view please help us out. Thanks

Is it 2.0 or 1.6 Engine?
The 2.0 Engine is very fragile and problematic. Just go and sell the car or replace the engine straightaway.
The 1.6 Engine is durable and can be ringed

Sir the engine is 2.0, 4 cylinders, 16 valves.

2.0 Nissan primera (Aluminium) engine does not have second hand value.
Infact it is such a useless engine
Overheating is so rampant with it, especially when handled by unexperienced driver or mechanic
I'll advice you to sell the car anyhow and buy primera with 1.6 engine
