[bGoogle Inc. faces intensifying challenges in China after a popular website and Internet browser company there replaced the search service for its own technology.

Qihoo 360 Technology Co. launched its own search engine last week and is in the process of making it the default on its website and browser, said Chief Financial Officer Alex Xu in a Tuesday interview. The Beijing company, whose Internet browser reached about 270 million monthly users in the first quarter, previously offered Google's search technology as the first choice.][/b]

I don't think Qihoo can beat Google AT ALL since it was launched last week. What bout Buida serach engine which is being owned by Chinese and it has been launched around 2002 or so. The search engine is the first in China now due to its support to local people than Google while Google remains the second best.

Its all about business and don't think that no other company can overtake google Inc. in what they offer, e.g: search service.

The local business environment in China is unique and different so sometimes it may be difficult for Global brands to adapt their model to suit local needs.
Facebook, twitter and ebay had the same challenges and they all have their local Chinese versions.
