Husband of 2 wives jailed for raping 3 minors
News Tuesday, August 14, 2012
By MICHAEL OLADEPO, with Agency report
IKEJA-An Ikeja Magistrate's Court, yesterday, sentenced a 45-year-old commercial motorcyclist and husband of two wives, Alabi Bakare, to five years imprisonment for raping three minors. Magistrate A. Isaac, who handed the verdict, said the sentence would be without an option of fine.

The News Agency of Nigeria,NAN, reports that the accused, who was arraigned on August 8, had pleaded guilty to a charge of having carnal knowledge of the minors aged between three and five.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Barth Nwaokoye, told the court that Bakare raped the minors on August 3 at 7 p.m. at 19, Oluwakemi Street, Alapere, Ketu area of Lagos metropolis.
"Bakare was caught in the act by a co-tenant, who reported the matter to the police," he said.
He said the offence contravened Section 137 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State.

Woman jailed for removing opponent’s 4 teeth

Abuja - An Upper Area Court in Gwagwalada on Thursday sentenced Eucharia Mwachukwu to six months imprisonment for causing grievous hurt to one Rakiya Umar.

The judge, Mr Waziri Adamu, however, gave her an option of N5,000 fine.

Adamu said that the prosecution had proved beyond reasonable doubt that the convict committed the offence.

Mr Luke Elemechi, the defence counsel, said his client was a first offender and prayed the court to tamper justice with mercy.

He said the convict was a widow and the only person taking care of her children, adding that any harsh punishment would not only affect her but also her dependants.

YORUBA BASTARD NURSE MOLESTS PATIENTS IN HOSPITAL
toluxa1: A former Wishard nursing assistant accused of handling a patient and videotaping it appeared in an Indianapolis court on Tuesday. The judge appointed a public defender and entered a “not guilty” plea on his behalf.

But police said the evidence against Folajuwani Ajayi pointed to guilt. His immigration status, though, could help him avoid jail term.

Ajayi is scheduled to face trial for one felony and two misdemeanor charges on April 2.

But court documents indicated while working at Wishard Memorial Hospital, the certified nursing assistant fondled an unconscious inmate being treated in the hospital’s detention area and videotaped it.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Ajayi’s cell phone video showed “a black male remove the clothing material around the female patient” and fondled her Core area.

Police said a fumbling Ajayi accidentally video-taped his Wishard-issued ID card that hung around his neck. The court document said the video showed Ajayi’s name and the title care tech.

“It’s always disturbing when someone in a position of trust violates that trust,” said Eric Schmadeke, Marion County deputy prosecutor.

Ajayi holds resident alien status. Police and prosecutors have alerted Immigration and Customs Enforcement leaders.

But Schmadeke said investigation was only beginning.

There were 40,000 pictures and 17 videos on Ajayi’s cell phone. Investigators are trying to identify the women in every image, find them and interview them. If and when they do, Ajayi could face many more charges.

Yoruba Drug Mule “Pregnant” With $20,000 Worth of Heroin

The customs inspector noted that Awoyemi appeared nervous, so she was selected for a pat-down search. After feeling a “bulge” in Awoyemi’s groin area, the situation escalated to a partial strip-search, according to the complaint.

When she dropped her drawers KPATA grin grin grin, Awoyemi’s scheme fell apart. Pellets containing brown powder began dropping from her groin area — and the substance tested positive for heroin.

Awoyemi was taken to a medical facility at the airport, where the federal cops administered a pregnancy test that came back negative.

Adebisi claimed she was visiting her brother in the U.S., but she was unable give details of her “brother” and his address. A routine pat-down showed that her belly was
suspiciously rigid, and an X-ray revealed to astonished officials that she had in her stomach 180 thumb-sized pellets with a total weight of five pounds.

Steve Sapp of the Customs and Border Protection, said: “We were kind of shocked and surprised at the sheer number of pellets she ingested.

We usually see men twice her size ingest about half of what she did.”

My mother-in-law seduced me to impregnate her * He always invited me to watch pornographic films - Mother-in-law

If Mr Tiamiyu Ibrahim, a 45-year-old mechanic, had been part of the Nigerian contigent to the just concluded London 2012 Olympics, he, probably, would have won a medal for Nigeria. The only snag is that his field of specialisation, 'bedminton' was not part of the sporting activities listed for the tournament. IDOWU ADELUSI, in this piece, reports the story of a man who put his mother-in-law in a family way.

MRS Aminat Ibrahim's story appears fictitious, but it is not. The claim of the 40-year-old trader that her husband is the father of a four-month-old baby girl born by her mother leaves one wondering whether Aminat knows the weight of her claim or not.
Mrs Ibrahim said she was ashamed and rattled by the development, adding that her unrepentant mother had threatened to curse her for exposing her misdeed.
Narrating how love affair developed between her mother and the husband, Mrs Ibrahim said her mother, who lived in a village at Apomu Area of Osun State, had been visiting them regularly at Oje Area of Ibadan where they (couple) lived.
She continued, "being my mother, I had no cause to worry, moreso, when she told me that she was assisting me spiritually to become pregnant.
"I wedded my husband five years ago without issue. Sometime in February last year, my mother came to visit us and said she would stay with us for a while.
"I objected since I was not nursing a baby, but she insisted and said was worried about our childlessness and wanted to help us get over it. When I told my husband he was glad about my mother's concern.
"Being a trader, I always leave home most times at 6.00 a.m for neighbouring towns and villages to buy yam tubers or vegetables and then bring them to the market to sell. I always leave the market at 7 p.m.
"My husband is a mechanic. He has his workshop at a place not far from our house. This enabled him to always come home in the afternoon for lunch often prepared by my mother.
"After a while, my husband would tell me jokingly that my mother's soup was delicious than the soup I prepared.
"I did not suspect that anything was going on between them. After all, I trusted my husband, besides the woman in question is my mum and not a friend.
"In December last year, I noticed that my mother's belly was protruding. When I demanded to know if she was pregnant, she said yes. She told me further that her man-friend in the village impregnated her, adding that she used to go to the village when everybody in the house had gone out. Our father died long ago.
"I advised her to look for accommodation elsewhere but she refused. After exerting much pressure on her to leave our house, she confessed that my husband impregnated her.
"I was dazed and almost passed out. She told me that my husband ignited the love affairs.
According to the mother, whenever she (the mother) was in the bathroom, the husband would jump in to see her unclothedness, pretending to be unaware that she was in the bathroom.
Explaining further, the mother said, "each time he came home for lunch, he would play pornographic films, inviting me to join him in the sitting room to watch it.
Mrs Ibrahim added, "According to my mum, while the film was going on, my husband would come to where she was sitting and grabbed her. Even after she had freed herself from him and run to stay in the kitchen, my husband would still go to meet her and that was how he started having sex with her.
"My mother told me that she agreed to his demand since it was just to satisfy him and protect my marriage. Moreso, she never thought she could get pregnant again at 57 years.
"My mother explained further that my husband stopped going to work on Saturdays in order to stay with her at home. She told me that four attempts were made to terminate the foetus because she was ashamed but each attempt was unsucceesful.
The woman told Sunday Tribune that when she confronted her husband on the issue, the husband told her to take it easy because she was still childless.
Her word: "My husband told me that it was my mother who seduced him by always staying naked in the room knowing that he could come into the room anytime since they are living in a room and palour apartment.
"He told me not to bother him much on the matter since I don't have any child for him."
When asked if the "new couple" were still staying together, she said no, explaining that they had disappeared from the house and did not know where they were.
However, this reporter and a staff of Succour traced Mr Tiamiyu Ibrahim to a village in Ikire.
He blamed everything on satan, saying that he never believed his mother-in-law could become pregnant for him.
His words, "Iya yen lo fa mi mora, to ni ki nma ba a oun tage. Emi ko mo pe o lee j'asi oyun, mo ro wipe iya ti koja eni to tun le ni oyun ni."
(It was my mother-in-law who seduced me, I never knew she could become pregnant again, but thought she had reached her menopause.)
The wife said she was disappointed by her husband's behaviour, saying, "if he had told me he needed a second wife, I would not refuse him. Why should he be having love affairs with my own mother?" she asked.
Sunday Tribune gathered that the mother-in-law, who later gave birth to a baby girl, brought the baby to Ibadan a month ago.
She was said to have been reviled by neighbours for bringing shame on her daughter and destroying her home.
The mother-in-law could not be reached as everybody contacted said her whereabouts were unknown.

MADUABUCHI NMERIBEH/Kano
An 11 year old Nigerian boy is battling to live at a Kano hospital after being stabbed by her mother, Joy Akunle, 28, who was depressed after separating with the father of the teenager.
The lady who hails from Katsina-Ala in Benue state told journalists at Kano state Police headquarters that she transferred the aggression she had for her ex-husband to the innocent child.
I wanted to kill him to bury the memory of his father because each time I see him, he reminds me of his father’s wickedness to me,” she said.
According to the state Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim K. Idris, Joy on 21 July at Sabuwar Abuja Quarters, Kano, northwest Nigeria used a knife and stabbed her son on his stomach, bursting the intestines.
The boss who raised alarm over the spate of rape involving teenagers in the state said his Command has resolved to ensure prosecution of rapists in the state and advised parents to keep watchful eyes on their children.
He revealed that on 17 July, Abubakar Ya’u, 20, of Jama’ar Ladan in Minjibir Local Government Area lured a six year old girl into his room and raped her.
Also, on 15 July, Ismaila Jibrin, 48, of Rimin Kebe Quarters lured a 4 year old girl into his room and had carnal knowledge of her.
Police also arrested Taofeek Adekunle, an Oyo state indigene, at Kas village, BUK Road for defrauding unsuspecting individuals to the tune of N5.5 million.
“Taofeek Adekunle is the promoter of an illegal Finance House named Finance Empowerment Programme Organization with Head Office at Ado Bayero Shopping Complex located at number 12 New Road, Sabon Gari.
“He is also the initiator of the Traders Multi Purpose Cooperative Society Limited. The Certificate of Registration of the two outfits were forged as he procured them from a tout who specializes in printing government documents.
“The suspect who has a network of marketers all over Kano collected the some of N5.5 million from 328 victims with the promise to give them credit facility.
“The method adopted by the fraudster is to ask his victims to pay 20 per cent of the credit facility before he disburses the loan. After collecting the percentage, the transaction stops there as he would not disburse the loan as promised,” CP Idris narrated.
He also disclosed that 17 police men from the Command are currently undergoing trial at the Command’s Orderly Room for extorting money from members of the public, and urged Kano residents to desist from giving money to police men on duty.

No reasonable fellow in his sound sanity will justify crime for any reason, my annoyance is the way you tribalised the incident as if it is the only the Igbo people that are criminals. If you are educated and well brought up you wouldn’t have been so tribalistic and childish in your reasoning .Every tribe in the world can never be exempted from crimes no matter how big or small it might be. No sin is bigger or smaller, all sins are equal. If you can come out from your tribal shells and tell yourself the truth. I can see it clearly that you derive much joy in insulting the Igbo tribe. this is nothing but the truth...

Pls let them try it. This is the problem with the Igbo people. When you start something, like physical war or media war, you always forget you are also human and can only determine the beginning not the end, you alwasy believe you are in any way better than the other party, whenthe thing now boomerangs, you would start blaming others for your self-inflicted problems.

Have u forgotten so quickly how u started all these media problems with Yoruba people, always faulting everything in Lagos, Awolowo, Ibadan, etc
Let Bella or Linda try it, they will forget ever working in their lives when people pounce on their just-growing businesses.
Learn from these, stop witch-hunting Yoruba people, we are not mates and can never be because we have better leaders and cultural heritage that is sound.

^^^Oh just shut your deluded trap! You sound childish with your 'better leaders' and 'sound heritage' cra/p. If you have those as you claim, how come nowhere in Yorubaland is an Eldorado? Lemme guess.....it's all down to the 'Nigerian factor' right? If this is the case, doesn't this show how stupid some of your past leaders were to sacrifice the larger Yoruba interests in the late 60's (that could have seen them get rid of Nigeria for good, and set themselves on the path to economic greatness), but instead focused on shorterm material gains just to try and overtake (and if possible, destroy) the ethnic group they hate the most; now look where you all are as a people today.....sure with Awos machinations and backstabbing, you've got a couple of 'gov't/contractor' made richmen, but that's about it really, as -for all the 'sophistication' of your past leaders- we're all still in this shi/thole suffering together and the past injustices enthroned by certain wicked groups/people immediately after the civil war are right now being quietly reversed as we speak (to favour ALL NIGERIANS, and not just one or two ethnicities)......no surprises then at quarters from where the opposition and bile towards GEJs' administration is the loudest.

afam4eva: Once it was on the frontpage i just knew it got to be an Igbo man. Yet there are tons of crime being commited by other tribes in the crimes section that never make it to the frontpage. God will judge all of you.
Same thought here, silly mods.

Baby, I hope you have suckled your feeding bottle this night. I do hope your mother did not forget wearing you, your pampers. Oh sorry you are under bridge right, what I see from your comment Mr Area boy is stupidity and jealousy. What do you have in your paradise country of Nigeria today? You are judging an unborn child, blind and slowpoke. Your thug father described your Nigeria, as a mere geographical expression, remove the log of wood in your eyes before you talk of a dust in another man’s eye. With all you mentioned, Biafra would still be better than your Nigeria. People like you supposed to be in a zoo, for touristic expeditions. Area boy, stop taking Gbana, it is not good for you. Your Nigeria today is an AXIS OF EVIL.

Although i'm not in supporting of tarnishing the image of any tribe. But i think Igbos have to invest heavily in media because people seem to belive anything they see or hear in the media.Mind you there are Igbo owned sites like LindaIkeji and BellaNaija and NigerianBestForrum but they're not out to haunt anyone. It's unfortunate that Nairaland has decide to follow this path.

may God bless the Aboki? for all the insult every day, and no media to defend themselves.....
