August 24, 2012 Liverpool look set to sign Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin, after Arsenal failed to agree terms with the La Liga champions on a deal. Real wanted to send Sahin out on a season long loan, but it’s believed that the Gunners wanted to sign the Turkish international on a permanent deal. Liverpool are now reported to have agreed a loan deal with Sahin, which involves no view to make the transfer permanent when temporary deal ends. The signing of the Turkish international would be something of a coup for Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers.
