The examples of countries like South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore (the Asian tigers) represent the best contemporary examples of how free markets can help nations grow. I have always insisted that capitalism can work in Nigeria and lift our people out of poverty if only we can provide an inclusive model of growth, one that will provide opportunities for most Nigerians. For instance, a growth model suitable for Nigeria would be one that focuses on developing labour-intensive industries (the textile industry, for instance). We have an abundance of cheap labour in Nigeria, why not take advantage of it? |

We have an abundance of cheap labour in Nigeria, why not take advantage of it?I was thinking the thread had more details about the differences between both countries but pictures of two trains is fine. . . . . . . @bold, The answer to that is obviously because we have issues with corruption. Solve that problem and you've solved about 50% of Nigeria's problems. |
