looking at our history naija has produced pioneers in music whose sound is still being sought after, rare masterpieces, and yet alot of our artists apart from a select few like D'banj have never one day pay their respect.... Is it that in Naija artists don't respect their predecessors. Sometimes I imagine if people like wizkid will one day show his regards for Fela.

I think Fela is no different from the likes of James Brown, or Ray Charles. you can see how American artist pay respect to them. I just think its a honor issue just like Tupac and Biggie, wherehy their music gets played in ever concert. Only someone like MC LOPH (rip) can dig into his predecessors and even remixed their song. I wonder what will happen to the new crop of artists in the future.. !!!
