The general superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi, has said that Nigeria will recover its losses as God is ready to restore all that the country has lost, and also rise up again as a great country despite the present challenges.

Pastor Kumuyi stated this yesterday during a telephone interview with LEADERSHIP. He had called on Nigerians to embark on two days of intensive intercession coupled with fasting from September 1 to 2, 2012, for divine solution to the country’s challenges.

God, he said, can restore in a day what the country has lost in five or 10 years, and make Nigeria great again.

He said Nigeria will come out of the present predicament with a miracle that will amaze the world if Nigerians can have hope and trust in God.

He said: “Once we have our faith in God and hope in our life, it brings a kind of forward look. With that, we know that something definite and positive will happen. And I believe that our country will be great again.

“As a church, what I will say is that the situation in the country is not peculiar to us. We all know what is happening, whether it is in Africa or in the West, or anywhere. We should understand this thing has happened to other countries too, which are more terrible and difficult and they are moving forward. But the countries that sit down and feel the end has come, ‘what else can we do’, those countries will never be able to get up. But those that will say this has happened but we are going to make fascination out of our frustration.

“We are going to get a miracle out of our misery. And out of the disaster that has happened, we are going to have the desires of our nation. Once we have hope, we will get through, because once there is life, there is hope.

And then we can say, by the Grace of God, whatever has happened in the country, in any state or local government, and to any individual or family, we are not going to stay this way but we are going to move forward, because with God all things are possible.”

However, he also called on Nigerians to join the Deeper Life Bible Church to cry unto God for two days, from September 1 to 2, 2012, for God to intervene in the situation the country finds itself: there is criminality all over the country, mind-boggling corruption, extra-judicial killings, violence and counter-violence. According to Pastor Kumuyi, the solution to all these challenges is from one Source which is God who can provide lasting remedy for the predicament
