OBJ did not create much.

He was fortunate to have ruled as oil prices took a skyward trip - that is the long and short of it. All those other things followed from there.

I think OBJ's major economic accomplishment was opening up the communications sector, but indeed the ground for this was prepared by advocates who worked tirelessly for many years. Still, he saw the opportunity and worked with them - kudos there. Kudos also to him for negotiating reductions and paying much of our international debt off, as well as saving some of the excess funds from oil.

He also had a small amount of success in exposing corruption, but that was because of Ribadu.

Otherwise, OBJ was a failure on electricity, petroleum, privatization, infrastructure, administration of justice, education, health and even foreign relations, despite his many travels. His result on security is definitely mixed, which is to say nothing to write home about.

He was particularly a daylight bandit with respect to elections.

GEJ is trying to make a mark with electricity and infrastructure. We don't know what will come of those yet, but he is woeful on security, corruption, petroleum, education, health, privatization, and foreign relations again despite incessant travels.

jp philips:
young man it doesnt pay to be dafft, obj's administration created the highest employment in the history of this nation.

He created a vibrant financial sector that gave birth to a multi faced stock market and forex, Which created a pleethora of indirect jobs.

Your ignorance stinks!!

that post you are quoting was meant for someone that said OBJ failed in employment creation, no where in your post flaws that, guess we are in agreement.

Talking about where you said OBJ failed and joboy succeded, did you quote out of tension, or you have facts to back up your claims?

you said GEJ is "TRYING" to make a mark on Electricity, "trying" is not an accomplishment, guess we have to disagree there again. i hate people that "try". i love people that deliver
.

when you said he tried on electricity, are you saying that Joboy's administration of less that 2yrs has successfully started and completed one single power project from scratch?

can you mention them? or because electricity improved in you area, you now think that joboy did it? where are your facts on that?

there is no major power project that has been completed in less than 2yrs in any part of the world, so don't let dedeike and co deceive you.

Joboy brought a technocrat who organized what obasanjo already has on ground. there is no power plant or transmission project started from scratch by joboy that has been completed. so the improvement in power is a fall out of OBJ's 2006 NIPP. abi you are getting electricity from uncompleted projects?

joboy is just stealing OBJ's glory.

when you said joboy is making a mark on infrastructure, how do you mean? are you talking about roads? though joboy in 2yrs has no completed any ground breaking road project, i can bet with my left test!s that there is no road joboy will resurface today that OBJ did not touch.

the question should be, will the next president resurface them again? please you can highlight the other infrastructures you have in mind, i wanna update.

when you say Joboy is "trying" with petroleum, how do you mean? is it not high time we define what "trying" means to you because it seems we are not on the same page on the definition of trying.

joboy landed us the biggest energy crisis in our history and you call that trying? how much was PMS during OBJ's tenure? how much is it today? how much was subsidy with obj? how much is it today?

joboy enthroned the most corrupt beast in human history as petroleum minister and you call that trying?

what did he do on Education? 9 new universities that he refused to fund? the contractors that have completed the fist phase of classroom blocks has not been paid since march and you call that trying? the project is as good as abandoned.

Health, well, that sounds like an irony cos joboy's sweetheart is undergoing ordinary "appendectomy" in Germany while obj renovated and equipped all our teaching hospitals and finally relocated UNTH to Ituku ozalla permanent site.

Guy, no provoke me ooo.

Even Obasanjo said same. In Nigeria politics is not played in the interest of the nation.
