COMIC gospel entertainer, Femi Ajewole, well known as Oti Gan pa and fifteen members of the Christ Chosen Vessels Dance Drama Ministry (CCVDDM), last Friday, escaped death as suspected armed men accosted their 18-seater Toyota Hiace bus forcefully with sporadic guns shots, leaving two people shot, few kilometres away from the RCCG camp ground along Lagos-Ibadan express way.
Lamenting his ordeal, Oti Gan pa crooner, told R during a brief interview that the incident occurred in the early hours of Friday morning, when the CCVDDM crew including him were leaving for Ibadan few hours after they held a ministration in a church, unknown to them that they were being trailed by robbers.
Speaking further, Ajewole stated that the sporadic gun shots wokehim from sleep as armed men in two vehicles refused to seize fire and eventually double-crossed our bus asking the driver to stop the bus.
Ajewole who described the incident as God's miracle, said "I thank God for the great intervention. We were asked to sit on the floor after the car was stop. Yet they refused to seize fire. One of the red eye men even asked their gang leader if he should waste us after they had a successful operation but he replied, no and asked them to raid us the second time.”
"They carted away 13 phones, less than N30,000, diary and some other valuables but I thank God no life was lost. Except for two of my members that were hit by gun shots; one was hit in the back and a bullet penetrated the others buttocks and came out in his laps but they were dischargedfrom hospital two days ago and I thank God that no life was lost." He recounted.
According to Alfa Sule turned Oti Gan pa, the police men who visited the scene of the incident retrieved 57 bullets, just as three bullets were also recovered where the bus was being repaired.
The Ogun State PPRO, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the incident while speaking with R in a telephone, saying that the hummer bus must have been trailed from the venue where the victims ministered. He also confirmed that only two people sustained injuries.
The police image maker also advised artistes not to move around with cash, especially after performing at a show in order to avoid being trailed by armed robbers
