A bombshell occurred in London on Thursday morning. Londoners woke up to read in their favourite free newspaper, Metro, that a girl of 18 confessed to having slept with over 50 men. You can imagine my consternation on reading this news. On looking back, however, i realised that barring social restrictions, many Nigerian girls of same age would proudly boast of having surpassed this ignominious achievement, the threats of AIDS notwithstanding!

What is the world really turning to? Where has morality travelled to? Really, who is to blame - these loose girls or their parents? Which sort of world are we living in? Or has sex become such a cheap commodity that it should really not matter the number of men so "conquered"? What is really happening? 

Me, i think the whole world is going really nutters!!

I never believed that the moderator will allow this trash piece of contribution. Since it was allowed, i will endeavour to give it a befitting response.
I have always enjoyed my time on this forum, as the aim is to stimulate discussion and interactions. I still maintain that, despite the conditions of participation as enumerated by the moderator, this remains a free forum. However, i was disillusioned for once, on reading the reply quoted above. It is nothing short of amazing! I do not want to join issues with the writer, but i believe contributions like this lower the integrity of this forum. Can you imagine the ranting called contribution? I only raised a social issue. What has this got to do with my greetings? To make matters worse, what is the relevance of: "bros, abeg! go for Hiv- test, because u'r not save!"?.

Obviously, from the level of grammar exhibited, this person is very immature, barely literate and has a long way to go. A social forum should not be an avenue to pass unsolicited insult. There is no point in writing nonsense, if there is practically nothing to contribute. This rascal also claimed to live in Shade Street, Epe. How coincidental! The good people of Shade and Ajaganabe areas of Epe will shudder on reading this trash from someone who claim to live in their midst.

A word of advice for you - please endeavour to complete your O-level before making further contributions to serious forums. There is a big problem on this forum. First it was "kingsikaz", then "poeticsoul" and now "vassilli". The ease with which people turn to personal attacks here is amazing. I wonder why the main topic would be left alone and personal attacks engaged in. I only posted a forum and kingsikaz was irked by my personal greetings. When the by-line of same kingsikaz was corrected, he was furious as he saw it as a no-go area. Yet he could attack other people's greetings with impunity. I guess that is called double standard and hypocrisy. Then from the blue came "poeticsoul" deliberately fishing for trouble. He had little to say on the topic. Now, it is the turn of a so-called "vassilli".

For you vassilli, i would say that it was quite difficult understanding what you wrote as i really did not know whether to call it Yoruba or English. Apart from that, it showed that it originated from the depths of a stupid mind. You did not contribute anything to the topic other than to pick on me. I very much understood your reason for starting this thread, I think you wanted to share a point regarding how a young girl of 18 CONFESSED to what is generally unacceptable in an almost-ideal society as UK. But you shouldn't be surprise if some Nigerians or NL posters and readers couldn't grasp it because most Nigerians see nothing wrong from such deed since its so common here. Just as taopheek as already said, She ought to have done it for fun, but in my opinion if she confessed it genuinely then its business (watch Diary of a London Call Girl) but here in Nigeria Jesus!!!, some young girls would eventually lost count even if they decide to starts counting from when she could remember sexcapades. I mean it worse here, very young Girls but mature looking girls of 13 to 17 are getting banged for whatever reasons they want to get banged for. Mostly monetary(aristos) but other various reasons are sexual curiosity or some few are just nymphos - In some developed countries like UK or USA for example, 13-18 yrs old lady committing fornication is somehow frowned upon though we all know Europe and the west are the epitome of sexual depravity (their porn biz and sexual-appeal billboards, tv-ads, musical videos, movies etc) even the Arabs have subscribed to western style of tv ads (watch some commercial ads in MBC1,2,3, Al-Jazeera, etc).

My main point is if Nigeria was very okay economically, socially, basic infrastructures are in place and so on, our ladies wouldn't be as worst as 90% of them are now and likewise many youths and youngsters who are into advanced fee fraud and all various form of internet scams. (Yawu Yawu Boiz)
