Absolutely abolished. Anybody who goes back to have the Law of Moses tell him what is right and wrong simply makes a mockery of christ. 1 Like |

This is the best way to look at this subject, "You have heard the law that says the punishment must match the injury: 'An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth." Matthew 5:38 (NLT) Jesus quoting from where? Exodus 21:24; Leviticus 24:20; Deuteronomy 19:21. But I say, do not resist an evil person! If someone slaps you on the right cheek, offer the other cheek also. Matthew 5:39 NLT What in the world is Jesus doing here? You be the judge. |

okeyxyz: Absolutely abolished.bro don't say absolutely abolished. Jesus did not abolish the law.He refined the law. No prophet bring or introduce another law different to the one Mose gave. Some of Moses law are still valid while some are not or which law did Jesus bring to mankind? |

Jesus fulfilled the law or, in other words, satisfied the full requirements of the Law for all who believe in Him. To such people, the Law is no longer an external standard to measure up. It is instead an internal desire that governs one's doings. Therefore, many of the requirements of the Law that were merely ceremonial or symbolic, like the circumcision and the sacrifices among others, no longer hold meaning since they have become actual. Therefore, the Law ought to be studied to learn what indeed Christ has accomplished for us and what should naturally proceed as a result of our having received these accomplishments. |

The function of the Law is to fullfill the promise given to Abraham, the end is Grace, and the means is the Law.the Law must be used to bring people into Grace. |

The dying of Jesus is the fulfillment of the law, therefore we are free from the law because we are dead to it. So, if any man uses that same law as a standard for right/wrong, he invalidates the whole doctrine of christianity. 2 Corinthians 3:6: |

Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. Galatians 3:24-25 Kjv So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law. (NIV) You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. Galatians 5:4 (NIV) |
