I WAS SURFING THE NET AND I FOUND THIS,SO I DECIDE TO POST IT HERE FOR THE NEWBIES... The 10 Commandments of Football Betting 1. Thou shalt be disciplined If you want to make some serious money by betting on football matches, then you must have a serious attitude towards it. You must be cold and calculated in applying a systematic approach to betting. This isn't to say that you should be completely without any emotion and it's only natural to feel pleased or disappointed when a result goes one way or the other, but any emotion you do feel after a result should not affect how you bet in future. 2. Thou shalt always seek value While you could argue that it is theoretically possible to predict exactly what is going to happen in a football match, there are an almost infinite number of factors that you'd have to take into account to do this, meaning that this possibility will only ever be theoretical. However, it is possible to estimate the percentage chances of a home win, an away win and a draw in a football match, and this is where value betting comes in. If you are confident that, in a particular match, the away team has a 50% chance of winning and that you can bet on them at 5/4 (which translates as a 44.44% chance) then this is a value bet. You may lose this bet as a one-off, and you will more than likely experience bad losing runs, but as long as your methods of finding value are accurate, you will always show profit in the long term. 3. Thou shalt test thy methods If you have come up with a football betting system that you think will be profitable, then you may be tempted to start betting accordingly straight away. However, it is good practice to take a bit of time to check this, either by back-testing it against historical data or by noting down what you would be betting on, as and when matches occur. Hopefully testing your methods and systems will back-up your initial thoughts and show that they have been profitable in the past, meaning that you can now follow them with greater confidence. This could mean that, if you start off with a bad run when you start betting with real money, you are confident and disciplined enough to carry on with the system, whereas if you started betting with real money without testing, then an initial bad run may have made you ditch a potentially profitable system. Testing can also show that methods/systems are not as profitable as you first thought and may encourage you not to use them when betting with real money. Always remember that not betting when there is no value is just as important as betting when there is. 4. Thou shalt not bet what thou cannot afford to lose No matter how confident you are, there are no guarantees that betting on football matches will make you a profit. While a positive attitude towards your bets is good, you should always consider that the worst case scenario is a possibility, and you should only bet with money that you can afford to lose. 5. Thou shalt not chase thy losses If a bad run of results has meant that you've been watching your betting bank get lower and lower, you may feel disheartened. You might think that your luck is bound to change, so a quick way of getting your bank back is to increase your stakes. You may have heard of "recovery" staking plans such as Martingale and these can help you to quickly recover your betting bank. However, they can also quickly wipe out your betting bank completely. 6. Thou shalt not let thy heart rule thy head Betting on a team just because you want them to win is not the trait of a successful gambler. You should only bet when you feel there is value on offer, and if you are following a system that has shown good profit, then you should even consider betting against your favourite team if that is what the system advises. 7. Thou shalt not limit thyself to one bookmaker Different bookmakers have different methods of compiling their odds, so while Ladbrokes may be offering 7/4 for a home win in a particular match, Coral may be offering 2/1. If you had calculated the percentage chance of a home win as 35%, then the 2/1 offered by Coral would be a value bet, while the 7/4 offered by Ladbrokes would not. As well as highlighting more value bets, making sure you get the best possible odds can also increase the amount of value there is in a bet. In the example above, there might not seem to be much of a difference in profit (a £10 winning bet gives a profit of £17.50 with Ladbrokes and £20.00 with Coral), but most successful gamblers deal with relatively small profit margins (e.g. betting £100,000 during a season and having £110,000 returned), and so the small amount of extra value in finding the best odds can have a huge impact on your profits. There are many websites such as Odds Checker that list different odds offered by different bookmakers on up and coming football matches (and other events), and you should always use these to make you get the best possible. You can read more on this subject in our Using Multiple Bookmakers article. 8. Thou shalt not limit thyself to one method The phrase "portfolio betting" often crops up when people talk about becoming a successful gambler. This can be compared to the way the word "portfolio" is used in the world of finance, where, let's say you have £10,000 to invest. Investing this all in the shares of a single company could prove very profitable, but it is a very risky strategy, and if the shares collapsed in value, then your £10,000 could be all but gone. A safer strategy might be to spread your money by investing in a number of companies, so that you would hope to make a slow and steady profit with any any drops in the share price of one of these companies having less of an impact on your overall investment. Similarly, sticking to a single method or system for betting on football matches could prove very risky, but using a number of methods or systems will reduce this risk. 9. Thou shalt keep records Anyone who is involved in running a successful business will tell you how important it is to keep detailed records. As well as tracking money coming in and going out of the business, these records could be used to measure how successful various initiatives have been and to forecast future profits or losses. If you are planning on making a success from betting on football matches it is vital to keep detailed records. As well as giving you basic information such as profit or loss for a particular period, this will also enable you to determine how individual systems are performing. For example, one may be performing particularly well, so you might want to review the staking plan on this in the hope of increasing your profits. 10. Thou shalt manage thy expectations Despite what some websites claim, there is no betting system that is guaranteed to bring you wealth quickly and easily. If you have a bank of £500 that you know you can afford to lose, then you may choose to go for a fairly risky strategy in the hope of turning this into several thousand pounds. However, if you are concentrating on value betting and long term profits, then, after several months and several hundred bets, you might turn this £500 into £600. You might think that this has been a lot of effort for very little reward, but many professional gamblers deal with profit margins that are even smaller than this. What makes them able to make a living from gambling is the fact that they bet very large amounts of money. Most people would be very happy to turn a £500,000 bank into a £600,000 one over a similar period of time. www.footballbettingbrain.com/10-commandments-football-bettiing |

Debeloved87: @elari.....am also using surebet247, i have roll my bonus over 3times and it wasnt adding up to my initial amount and neither can i still withdraw...i learnt i have to do that over a certain odd...can you pls explain more to me.. Any bets placed containing selections at odds of less than 1.50 does not count towards your rollover requirement. And you don't have to wait for it to your initial amount, just place a withdrawal, the system will tell you how much of the total money is with drawable. elari: . . . Debeloved, i cant say much on that. They haven't given me the bonus, maybe becos i always used my Atm card to pay instead of cash. Doesn't matter if you haven't claimed it, you can do that anytime. There is "bonus' written in red in front of your actual balance. Click on it and claim your balance. If you don't succeed, send a mail to them, they will get it done for you. |

elari: now am so pissed off with sure.bet.247. Hw can they deduct 8120 as bank fee for a withdrawal of 145k. This is so wrong. Am going bak 2 naira.bet afta this, its just becos of their fts and odd market that am still with them. I don vex You should contact the customer care to complain. It's unusual, the bank withdrawal fee is actually 2.5percent of your withdrawal amount. |
