The easiest way not to out spend or manage the money is to rememeber that it is 19800 and not spend it all. You can plan to live a champagne lifestyle on a beer budget |

When it was 9750, I saved. Even if u re paid 1million a month and you are not financially disciplined, u can't save. Number one key to successful savings is to have in mind that you must save, not its all for consumption. Good luck! 11 Likes |

Nigerian Corpers are really suffering. Can't imagine myself earning 19,800 (a little over a hundred dollars ) a month when school children here earn $10 an hour working part-time.. How can one possibly live on that? Ha! That country is in God's hands o. 2 Likes 1 Share |

while serving two years ago (as at feb 2011), i was earning an allowance of #9,750 per month. i spend #6,000 per month and save the remaining #3,750. i see no reason why anyone should have any difficulty in making savings from the current allowance. |

~Kaylee~: I know the 19,800 is super small but you can't just do direct comparison not putting in consideration cost of living in both country. 4 Likes |

folahann: I know the cost of living here is way higher than in Nigeria still that amount is too meager to be earned by a graduate (whether in the workforce or serving). A student working 20 hours a week would bag about $800 dollars (minimum wage, does not go below this) a month. I believe that no matter the disparity in the cost of living, $800 would do way more than N19000. The Nigerian government should have some heart and increase the wage abeg. 2 Likes |
