Many nigerians have good reason to be suspecious of every promo from MTN.
Personally, I have bn a victim on so many occasions. MTN has cheated me of at least #30k for d 8-9yrs I have used their line. There was one evening I badly needed to send a mail. I loaded #2,500 for nite data plan. The money was taken bt I cdnt browse. I
was so angry, I went to their office d next day. After waiting for so long, I was told nothing could be done. They said I must have done sth wrong, bla bla bla.
That was in 2010 in Asaba.
For a long time, I have bn using airtel for my calls @ #12 pm after d first min.
Few weeks ago, I decided to try MTN zone. This is because I always see btw 4k/s to 20k/s on my screen. As expected, it worked on d first day. Since then, my credit is removed anyhow. Once I had #165 with 8k/s on my screen, made 4 mins call to an MTN line & the money was gone.
So I decided to call CC. I cdnt believe what I heard.
The CC agent said MTN zone only works in abt 6 selected states. Outside those states, they charge a flat rate of 40k/s.
So how can I spend 40k/s for MTN to MTN calls when my Airtel can call any network for 20k/s? Why charge me 40k/s when 8k/s is showing on my screen?
And why not make that MTN zone coverage area public?
Is MTN just greedy or plain thieves?
