Tell a Nigerian Leader to drive a 1970 Volkswagon, he will send hired assassins after you. This is no joke, they will do it. Our minds are messed up big time. Have a neighbor, a prominent Nigerian, he has well over 15 cars in his driveway/compound, guess what, he only drives 5 out of the 15. I was going to ask him, are you ok and do you know what you are doing? I dare not ask him that, otherwise he will send hired assassins after me. You see how our minds are messed up. A funny anecdotal narrative: I knew a foreign diplomat who was a family friend, he narrated when he first arrived Nigeria and was being driven into the capital city Abuja, he said he hears siren whirling from a few distance behind him, he quickly tells his chauffeur to pull aside to let the hearse pass by, the driver tells him it wasn't a hearse but actually a real human in the car, a politician. He said he was shocked that a politician would feel so comfortable being driven a hearse. |
