The LORD is a man of war; the LORD is his name - Exodus 15:3 The Devil is His Arch Enemy. I think 'The destroyer' is just one of the LORD's many weapons of war

Point well taken...but according to 1st Peter 5:8 "be sober,be vigilant because your adversary the devil,as roaring lion,walketh about,seeking whom he may devour". Also, Job 1:7 "And the Lord said unto satan,whence comest thou? The satan answered the Lord,and said,from going to and fro in the earth,and walking up and down of it."

@ Job 1:7, I hope you understood that scripture & not suggesting from it that God works with Satan, right And yes, I think the devil is allow to prove his point so that angels who are loyal to Yahweh would see how wrong he was to have rebelled against Him! The devil is also allow to tempt us which is why it's good to ask God to 'lead us not into temptations but deliver us from evil' whenever we pray.

The Lord used the heathens against the Israelites when they fu.cked up, that doesn't mean that he works with the devil; He only used their enemies against them as His weapons to correct them from their evil ways!
