I think its just proper to give credit to whom credit is due.
Sienna has done alot to educate most of us on what car to buy
and what car not to buy.
So i think its about time we create a thread for him where we can ask him
questions instead of hijacking someone elses thread because we
know he is kind hearted enough to help us with answers
(unlike others who wont answer and are rude angry)
so give it up for sienna.

Aww, brothers, thanks! Didn't realise my advice was so valued! Always glad to help!

I'm starting a new thread, besides regular servicing of cars, and general repairs / OBD diagnostics, I offer a bespoke service for owners of Audi - Volkswagen - Seat - Skoda cars.

This includes power upgrades, suspension packages, turbo upgrades and engine conversions. I also sell aftermarket accessories, like alloyw wheels, stainless steel exhaust systems, lowered suspension etc.

The thread with my current project, an Audi RS4 B5 Sedan will be documented shortly, with pictures of different stages. I hope it won't annoy Seun though!

Thanks for the complements, I feel I got a lot more than I deserve( thought I was only looking at issues from another point of view)

I always try to shared from my personal experience working on my own car, amd observation of how others use theirs.

Diamante is te best deal you can get in he near luxury class (e.g Avalon, Maxima.)The only issue I have seen on carsurvey.orgr and MNSAuto.com users review is a leaky evaporator. You should not be looking at a V6 if fuel economy is a concern, it about 8km/liter(if you're lucky).Main issue of concern should be its service history; it will affect the fuel economy.

Almost the same as Avalon but more luxurious.
Tire is recommended to be factory size because it performs best with those tires.Aynthing bigger will affect fuel economy, handling, and cause rubbing with fender. If you mean bigger wheel, the bigger your wheel lower your tire profile, and easier to get wheel damaged on tropical roads

sultaan,
tanx dude.fuel economy would be nice but like they say "you have to pay for your luxuries". hope i would be able to find a toks to buy in cotonou.

sienna,
really nice car.i've only seen a 1998 diamante live and a 1998 camry or honda accord can not stand near it as regards comfort, luxury, beauty blah blah blah.their fuel econmy would be better though.i've got a question sha.the speedometre of the diamantee read 120mph(193kmh)isn't that rather low for a 3.0, 6 cylinder engine? i used to have a sigma and the speedometer read 240kmh and i've done 210kmh on it.

Hi Sienna,
Decided to go for a BMW 318i rather than a Volvo S40 as I mentioned a while ago. Getting it delivered this week (after over 2 months of placing the order and waiting for its manufacture!). I would like to install a tracker in it. Would it be better to ask the BMW dealer that is delivering the car to install it or can I do it with some other company? If so, which company would you recommend and does it take a long time to fix? Thanks.

Good choice with the BMW!

You could ask BMW how much they'd charge, but it may be costly.

I got one fitted to my old Audi Coupe quattro, I had mine fitted by the RAC. Can't remember how much it cost back then, but was reasonable. I dropped the car off about 10:30, collected it 15:00.

As you're buying your car new, you're in a stronger position to haggle, you could get it fitted by BMW, for a lot less than you think.

Hi Sienna, I'm due for a ride in about a month or so and I'm not really sure what to buy. I fancy german, but in our part of Nigeria, Hondas are the mainstay, i.e Spare parts are awash and mechanics are at your beck and call. I'm aware that the rover comes with a honda engine, but I feel the body isn't durable(exterior anyway, ) and won't work for me, because I like my car looking spic and span ALWAYS.

I'm down to the good ol Benz 190e (Saw a pimped one, really looked good, ) and a Honda Bullet (sleek ride, my friend drives one, )
I love manual transmission, have no qualms shifting gears.
What do you advice? better still what do you recommend? My budget is around N900,000

Thanks alot and keep up the good work smiley

Thanks man. Had no idea RAC even offered such a service! Like you mentioned, I would contact the BMW dealer as I may get a good deal.

Hmmm, German all the way?

Does it mean that German cars are more durable and have better fuel economy than their Japanese counterparts?

I love VW but I think Toyota has a better economy despite the turbo charged engines I believe comes with most VW's.

Please tell me if I am wrong.

Hi Siena, I'm still waiting on you. And then add a BMW 3 Series 1995 - 1997 model to my list. That is Mercedes 190, Honda Bullet(dunno de year, should be 1994-96) and the Bimma. Would appreciate some sound advice. Thanks!!

@ Big nero, which of my posts? Perhaps you could refresh my memory, and I'll see if I'm interested!!
